    Hi,
I have the html and css for a Mailchimp newsletter signup form.
I have tried with the html in a widget and in a text block in a page, and the css I have tried in the Custom Css file and in Quick css.
I can get the form to appear correctly either by using a widget or the text block however I cannot change the appearance with the css.
This leads me to think that I am putting the css in the wrong place.

    Some questions…
    1. Does the html have to be used within a text widget or can it be used in a text block in a page?
    2. I am unsure where to place the css code. I have tried in >Appearence >Editor >Custom CSS and in Enfold >General Styling >Quick CSS

    Please advise,
    Cheers
    Nigel

    Hey taoleo,

Thank you for writing to us.

I’m not sure what is the purpose to embed the code? Enfold comes with a built-in MailChimp element please refer to https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/mailchimp-signup/

If you still need to embed please activate MailChimp element from Enfold > Newsletter and use the code block element to embed the HTML code.

    Best regards,
    Vinay

    Hi Vinay,
My apologies, I did not explain myself very well.
The way we work with Mailchimp lists and groups it is best that we use the html provided by Mailchinp for embedded forms. (email sign up)
It is easy to place the html in a text block on a page and the sign up works fine. However I want to style the basic html with some css code. I am led to understand that the css should be placed in >Appearance >Editor >Custom CSS. I have tried this however it does not style the html,
This leads me to think that I amdoing something wrong or that the css should be placed elsewhere.
I hope that this clarifies the issue and you able to advise.

    Cheers
    Nigel

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. Have you tried adding the css code in the child theme’s style.css file or the Enfold > General Styling > Quick CSS field panel?

Please provide the url of the page where the sign up form resides and post your css modifications on pastebin.com.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
