I must be doing something wrong. I cannot see most of the “theme” images (but I can see my own). The slider image is black and white and all the other images show a broken link. I’m using a child theme, but did import dummy data and parent theme settings, which didn’t help.

    Hi dannablumenau!

Please go to Media Library and remove images then re-upload them. They cannot be found http://i.imgur.com/VpYeOia.jpg
Please also check wp-content\uploads folder and make sure that its permission is set to 755

    Regards,
    Yigit

That didn’t fix the problem. I verified that the permission on the images folder is 755. I deleted the background and layout folders (and contents) and re-uploaded them. I’m still seeing limited images. I even tried uploading the images to the media->library but there was no change.

I can see the logo and some weird black and white slider, which looks nothing like the demo. Most of the other images are missing, but they are not appearing as broken links anymore.

    Hi!

That’s expected, some of the images are only in the demo and not in the dummy:

Please Note: Most images in the theme demo are stock photos from photodune which are not part of the theme
