When clicking on Edit Frontpage (Advanced Layout Builder) on the top (when logged into admin), it takes me to a list of posts rather than editing the home page. Never seen that before.

    Hey hostworks,

Thanks for the login details. What happens if you temporarily deactivate all plugins?

    Best regards,

    Rikard,

This is a very active site around the clock. I’ll try a bit later, thanks.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. We’ll keep this thread open for you. You might not have to deactivate all plugins, if you suspect that any of them are more likely than others to be causing this problem. Like redirection plugins for example.

    Best regards,

ok, using Health Check & Troubleshooting, I’ve deactivated ALL plugins and just left my child theme active and still get the issue.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. Does the same thing happen if you activate the parent theme? I can’t reproduce this problem on a test installation, and we haven’t had any other reports about this being a problem with the theme, so it’s likely that it’s a problem which is local to your site. If you should need further help, then please check the login details you posted, as they are not working anymore.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

OMG, that just busted the site. What now?

    #1375146

Oops. never mind. It is ok in incognito window, but it appears broke in regular window.
To answer your question, it would let me edit the text, but of course, it was very little to edit without the child theme.
    I added the account back.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. I’m not sure I understand your last post, do you mean that it worked after activating the parent theme? If so, then the problem is coming from your child. Also, I see that you have 301 redirects added, does it make any difference if you deactivate those? I would recommend that you copy the site to a staging site, so that it will be easier for you to debug problems like these.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Yes, I was able to edit the page when I switched to the parent theme. I guess I’ll have to backtrack my child theme updates. Very strange. I’ve never seen this happen before. A little problematic. This is a 5,700+ page, 50+ GB site. will continue to experiment with the 301s. Thanks.
