I have to open each text element, close it, and then update the page and re-open it before the correct WYSIWYG editor appears?
    Anyone else experiencing this?

    Hi Andrew,

Can you try to flush out caching and disable all plugins temporarily? this might just be a plugin conflict.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

I’ve done that a hundred times. Until I save the page after opening each individual text element, the WYSIWYG does not have the correct controls.

    Hi northernpacific,

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( to be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

Here is a picture of what happens. This is a new text block dropped into a column inside a color section. It isn’t a new color section, I am editing it – it already had an events calendar element in it, I think directly inside the color section with no column:

When I save the post/page and reopen the text object, the editing functions are as expected.

I see that there is a new button: “Add contact form”.
And what is behind those 4 Square symbol besides that?
I guess this has been inserted there by a plugin?
Could you deactivate that, and refresh all cache – including the merged files.

    #1312864

No, it isn’t the plugin. I don’t have time to do the troubleshooting.

    #1312872

Well, then I won’t be able to spare the time to solve your problems.

    #1312875

I didn’t ask you to. I’m posting to Kreisi. I’m alerting them about a problem with their theme that needs attention. Feel free to keep your snark to yourself.

    Hi northernpacific,

Nothing has been changed with Enfold’s WYSIWYG editor and I also don’t see the same as the one you have posted in my Text Block.
Can you give us temporary admin access? so we can check it.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

I will need to probably show you the sequence to recreate it. Can you email?

    Hi northernpacific,

It would be better if discussions will be in this thread so other moderators can see it as well.
You can post it in private content if you don’t want the content to be exposed to the public.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

Except that you will never understand what I am talking about. I need to show you what I am seeing and I do not have a recreation sequence I can describe. This problem is in 3xistwnce for a long time and I cannot communicate to you how to recreate it. This troubleshooting approach will not work – I need to show you what is happening.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. Would you be able to record your screen while reproducing this problem, then share the video with us maybe?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

I’m not set up for that. I’m usually working and that is not part of what I have to do for my job. I suppose I could try to figure it out, but that would likely take several hours when if we got on a zoom, it would only take two minutes to show you.

If you really don’t want to know what is happening, that’s fine; I don’t know why you are making this so difficult.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. Since we can’t reproduce this problem on test installations, then we would need more information on how to reproduce it. It we can’t get that from you, then it will be difficult to help you out unfortunately.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Still having the same problem. When I copy elements from one place to another within a page, the WYSIWYG editor changes to some other format and I have to re-publish and refresh the page and all the caching before I get the correct editor.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. Do you have detailed instructions on how to reproduce the problem you are seeing on your end?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

When I copy elements from one place to another within a page, the WYSIWYG editor changes to some other format and I have to re-publish and refresh the page and all the caching before I get the correct editor.

If I copy a text object from one place to another in the avia editor and open it, it is usually a text editor that says “brought to you by tiny” in the lower right.

    #1325595

That’s really the extent of it. If we got on a screen share I could show you, but as I’ve been saying, I copy an element in the advanced editor, open the copy, and a different WYSIWYG interface is displayed.

I don’t know how much more information to give you. That’s what happens.

    #1325597

I’ve uploaded pictures, I’ve described the problem, I’ve told you all the information I have.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. Please install a plugin like Awesome Screenshot in your browser, after that you can do a screen recording. You can upload the video to a file sharing service like Google Drive or Dropbox after that, so that we can see exactly what you are doing when this error occurs. We can’t schedule screen sharing sessions unfortunately.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,
Thank you for the screenshots this one looks like you are using the advanced tiny editor plugin, this is not the correct default WordPress editor:

this screenshot shows the correct default WordPress editor:

I also note that you have two more additional buttons over your editor so I would recommend deactivating your plugins one at a time and clear your cache and try testing, I believe your issue is related to a plugin conflict.

    Best regards,
    Mike
