My hompeage slider vanishes when I enable autoptimize JS options. The author said I need to ask, “what JS is used for the slider and exclude that from optimization.” Since LayerSlider is included in this theme, I cannot find a support area from within a plugin, so I am hoping y’all can tell me what scripts to exclude from autoptimize.
Thanks!
JonSeptember 21, 2018 at 3:10 am #1012578I tried to goto the author of Layerslider to submit a ticket, but since layerslider was included with Enfold, I cannot provide a purchase code. Are y’all able to get with them to ask what JS code to exclude from Autoptimize?
Thanks
JonSeptember 21, 2018 at 4:35 am #1012608Hi,
Thank you for using Enfold.
Can we see the site? We would like to inspect it. You can try to exclude these scripts and stylesheets:
layerslider : /static/layerslider/js/layerslider.kreaturamedia.jquery.js
layerslider: : /static/layerslider/css/layerslider.css
layerslider-front : /static/public/front.css
layerslider-greensock : /static/layerslider/js/greensock.js
layerslider-popup : /static/layerslider/plugins/popup/layerslider.popup.js
layerslider-popup : /static/layerslider/plugins/popup/layerslider.popup.css
layerslider-transitions : /static/layerslider/js/layerslider.transitions.jsBest regards,
IsmaelSeptember 21, 2018 at 4:56 am #1012617The site is gatehealing.com .
I’ll send login creds in private box in case that’s what you’re wanting to see. Should you want to see what I am talking about, goto the Autoptimize settings, then check the JavaScript Options > Optimize JavaScript code, then hit blue “save changes and empty cache” button. If you will click the Clear Cache in top of the wordpress window, then clear your browser history, you should duplicate the problem (I cannot replicate the issue until I do all of that). I have it showing the slider for now so my visitors get a good experience.
I am going to try to exclude some of those scripts to see if it fixes the issue. I’ll come back here and post if it does get fixed.
Thanks!
JonSeptember 21, 2018 at 5:04 am #1012623Ok, I tried adding the scripts with the slashes, and replacing slashes with periods, nothing seemed to work.

September 23, 2018 at 8:35 am #1013233Hi,
I fixed it by adding jquery.js to the excluded script list. If jquery is not excluded autoptimize loads it after some other scripts which require jquery.
Best regards,

Do I mark this thread as “solved” someplace?
Best
