Hej Guys,
this is a HUGE misunderstanding that has left all our sites’ h1 title not indexed by Google without us knowing it. When you set up a page or blog post, there is a setting option in the right hand margin “Title Bar Settings”. If you “HIDE BOTH” breadcrumbs and title… we understood we were hiding them for the customer (to help the look). It turns out that “display” means
- do not display to customer and do not display the H1 title to search engines either!
I now have to go through every website I have built,every page, every blog post etc. and manually reset them to display “breadcrumbs and title” so the H1 title can now be indexed. It would be very helpful if the instruction written next to that setting could EMPHASISE “this will hide from customer and search engines”.
