Dear support members,
My website is very slow to load with this theme. Any suggestions on how to improve its loading speed.
It’s: http://www.step1.com.br
Many thanks!

February 14, 2014 at 12:01 pm #223894Hi Mkieling!
The current website size is 2.1mb and you can try to reduce the size by removing or compressing the images. A good tool to reduce the image size is: http://www.obviousidea.com/windows-software/light-image-resizer/ which can reduce the quality of jpgs and pngs and you can also remove the exif data. You can also try to cache the database data and html code with: http://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/

PeterFebruary 14, 2014 at 11:01 pm #224201Ok, but are there any other ideas I can use. I need this website to be as fast as possible and I’m afraid these two things may not suffice. What do you think?
Many thanks!!

Aside from optimizing images and using a cache plugin. You can also use CDN or upgrade your hosting services.

IsmaelFebruary 15, 2014 at 2:53 pm #224329Hello,
How do I go about using CDN? Is it a service I need to subscribe to? What company provides this?
And about hosting, what service would you recommend?
Many thanks!

February 16, 2014 at 5:25 am #224469Hey!
This plugin also helps:
http://wordpress.org/plugins/bwp-minify/CDN stands for Content Delivery Network, there are a lot of options like Amazon Cloudfront or MaxCDN.
Regarding hosting, if you want the best, that would be a dedicated WordPress platform, here are some:

JosueFebruary 16, 2014 at 5:06 pm #224545Ok, that makes a lot of sense.
Would you think this strategy makes a big difference: http://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/dramatically-speed-up-wordpress-and-wpmu-load-times-with-this-simple-tip/
Many thanks!

February 16, 2014 at 7:32 pm #224566Hi Miguel!
It may but as the article says you must check if zlib is enabled on your server.
Best regards,
JosueFebruary 16, 2014 at 8:35 pm #224583Great, will do.
Last questions I’d like to post on this tread are the following:
Besides what you guys recommended above, is there any chance my site is slow because of all of the sliders that are active on it?
And second, of all the reasons stated above, what would the most important cause be? The size of the images, perhaps?
—x—
Thirdly, what you recommend for me to back up my site? Any WordPress plug in works well?
Many, many thanks!
Miguel
February 16, 2014 at 8:48 pm #224586Hey!
Try resizing them to the size of the slider (1030 x 369), that would decrease the file size a bit and speed up the load time.
For backup, you can try this one or this one.
Also, you can use this tool to check which elements are heavier, therefore taking more time to load:

JosueFebruary 16, 2014 at 9:28 pm #224600Hello Josué,
Thank you so much. You’re really helping me out!
Please allow me to pick your brain one more time. I would like to use a content builder such as this: http://thrivethemes.com/contentbuilder/next/
Do you foresee potencial problems if one starts using this plug in to edit pages and posts? Does it integrate well with ENFOLD?
Could it slow down page loading time?
At least graphically, it seems like a very good option and I’m interested in buying it… It give me the impression it could be a time saver as well.
Many thanks,

February 16, 2014 at 9:32 pm #224602Hi!
I don’t recommend you using that because it will probably have compatibility problems, which can be fixed but unfortunately we can’t help you with that because is out of the scope of the support we can give.
P.S. Enfold already comes with a drag and drop builder.
Cheers!
JosueFebruary 17, 2014 at 1:14 am #224686Hello Josue,
You’ve convinced me with this argument. Thank you.
As for an opt in form, what would you recommend?
I’m looking into:
1) http://hybrid-connect.com/pricing-and-signup/
2) http://maxblogpress.com/subscribersmagnet/sbmg-trial-2.php
3) http://optinskin.com/?hop=intheleed1#tab-14
4) http://www.gravityforms.com/purchase-gravity-forms/Out of these, I am favoring the first option.
What’s your take on that? What do you like best for Enfold?
Many thanks!
Miguel
February 17, 2014 at 1:23 am #224691Hi,
From the list, the only one which is officially compatible with Enfold is Gravity Forms. The other may work too, but we can’t ensure full compatibility.
Best regards,
JosueFebruary 17, 2014 at 1:46 am #224702Is there anyway I can add a form similar to Gravity at the bottom of posts and also drop it on a widget on the sidebar? Something that comes pre-built within ENFOLD?
What are my choices?
Thanks Josué!

February 17, 2014 at 1:49 am #224703Hi!
GF uses Shortcodes, that means you can put it wherever you want (Widgets or Posts).
Cheers!
JosueFebruary 20, 2014 at 3:48 pm #226834Hi Josué,
How can I increase the size of the font on my post titles?
Many thanks,
Miguel
February 20, 2014 at 3:52 pm #226838Hey!
Please add following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under Styling tab and adjust as needed
.post-title h1 a, .post-title h2 a { font-size: 26px; }
P.S.: Please start a new topic if your questions are off topic
Cheers!
YigitFebruary 21, 2014 at 6:15 am #227281Hello there,
It didn’t work, unfortunately.
I’m talking about the post title. The one you insert when your creating a new post, in the field right above “permalink” and “add media”. The first field of the page…
Many thanks!
Miguel
February 21, 2014 at 9:34 am #227318Hey!
You can use this:
.entry-content-wrapper .post-title { font-size: 26px; line-height: 1.3em; }
Best regards,
IsmaelFebruary 21, 2014 at 2:08 pm #227476This worked. Thanks!
And how can I choose the font I’ll use for my titles? And also, if it’s a post of two lines, how can I choose how much spacing there will be between them?
Many thanks!
