I love your product
I have a multi-site and this is the only theme I use – child theme-We deployed the site today
Now, the site is extremely slow when navigating from page to page.
We are looking into WP plug-ins to see if there are errors in the theme or other issues causing this. Our network/server folks claim it is within the WordPress/Apache area, not network or server related.
We are running a dual processor server (2.5 ghz processors) with 4 gig of RAM. We are getting extremely slow response from page to page with maybe 40 people on the site.
We are not WordPress developers and this theme is the only site we use and everything is within it. Are there things in Apache or on the Server or within WordPress we can check? Are there unneeded plug-ins or other things we can turn off?
We are live on this site and with the current response time, we will most likely have to go back to the old site if we can’t resolve this quickly.

I didn’t find the site slow at all but maybe I was lucky. You could try the following plugins to see if you experience any improvements in speed:

I can’t think of any more recommendations except contacting your hosting company if the site is slow during heavy traffic. There might be some sort of bandwidth/data limit etc?

Not sure what we could do to troubleshoot that. Try loading a different theme to see if you get the same problems.
As for the frontend of your site it’s loading in 1.26 seconds on my end which is pretty fast. All of the images look good and there is only 600KB to download so I doubt it could be optimized any further.
As for the CPU load it sounds like it’s a problem with the server. It might be best to hire someone to make sure there are no problems with the server since your self hosting.
