Hello,
Please help me. My website is blank and I am scared to update.
I was updating content on my site last night after a server outage prevented me from accessing the dashboard of wordpress.
I only wanted to apply a button on a page ( see private content below)
The instructions told me to apply the code in the header and I used a code block to paste.
Neither worked. So I “carefully” deleted the links I pasted in the header. On my second attempt to make my own link. (see private content below on second attempt code)
I believe shortly after that the website went blank on all pages.
I contacted my host who helped me see private content.
They said there were errors with the Theme and some plugins which I don’t get when it was working perfectly fine for weeks without me making an edit until last night.
The site is under construction now as they activated a theme I do not use therefore my site is now jumbled up again!
I have activated Enfold but I really don’t know where to go from here. Please login and take a look at the header to see if I did actually move something.

January 25, 2017 at 3:58 pm #738422Hey!
Header.php file was broken in your theme. I fixed it. Please review your website now
Cheers!
YigitJanuary 25, 2017 at 4:03 pm #738425You are a star Yigit!
However its not appearing how it was last night.
The host went in and deactivated your theme so now everything is all over the place.
What is the best practise to get it back to how it was last night?
SAFELY ;(
January 25, 2017 at 4:06 pm #738427Hi!
Please try adding following code to Functions.php file in Appearance > Editor
function my_custom_code(){ //Your code goes here } add_action('wp_head', 'my_custom_code');
And add the code you added into header.php file where it says “//Your code goes here”
If you keep on having issues, please elaborate. Also, please try going to Enfold theme options and making small changes and save it just to flush stylingsheet
Cheers!
YigitJanuary 25, 2017 at 4:09 pm #738432I think we would have been good after you went in.
But because the theme was deactivated by the host I can see parts of a different theme and my menu is totally messy.
I was emailing the host to see if they can have it restored before the header issue.
Are you saying that if I do what you say above it will go back to how it was?
Thanks

January 25, 2017 at 4:12 pm #738437Hi!
If you only made changes in header.php file, please refer to this post – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/ and overwrite theme files via FTP and then add the code i posted above into enfold/functions.php file. Your content and options are saved on your database, so only changes you made on theme files will be overwritten.
Best regards,
YigitJanuary 25, 2017 at 5:04 pm #738481I am very confused now.
My widgets have disappeared.
No idea how to get it back.
The host now say I have to pay to restore. Which is interesting as the deactivated it and uploaded a different theme messing it all up.
The steps you have given me are a bit long winded by end . I don’t want to make a mistake again…
January 25, 2017 at 5:34 pm #738491Hey!
We can re-update the theme for you and add the code to functions.php file. However, you might need to reconfigure your widget areas i am afraid.
Let us know if you would like us to update the theme for you.Cheers!
YigitJanuary 25, 2017 at 5:44 pm #738495That would be awesome!!!!
The host are making me do flips!
Okay, can you confirm the loss of widget info really the text went because they looked in the wrong place?FIXED I NOTICED IT WAS IN THE INACTIVE AREA.
Although their finding showed an error with other plugins.Okay I feel more secure knowing you’re here to help!
The part I don’t get is being able to just hit the restore button to go back to my last backup, I will look at the link you sent me earlier when Im less time poor. And i’ll have to start over the footer department.
Please can you add the voucher button on the bottom of the treatments page I would prefer it as a link which I can put in a button similar to the book now ones I have by each treatment menu.
Thanks very much

January 26, 2017 at 12:49 am #738670How are we getting on?
January 26, 2017 at 7:29 pm #739100Yes please update and add the voucher code but also let me know how so I can learn?
The steps are not easy to follow my end when using the code block element
January 27, 2017 at 4:22 am #739183You disappeared Yigit ;)
January 27, 2017 at 7:30 am #739247I have created a new ticket.
Code wise I used the code block and added the links together… This was discovered by accident really.
Therefore I don’t think I need the code you provided above.
However still would like to take your offer of updating the version I have .. safely
Many Thanks…

I updated the theme for you :)
And sorry for the late reply. Please do not self post in your threads as that changes your queries position in our queue and that usually causes threads to be overlooked :)

What is a self post? ;(
Yes the page looks fine… Would also like it on the homepage.
I have left a comment in the other thread.
We can close this ticket now, as you have fixed the blank page issues.
As always appreciate you helping me. AWESOME!
