    Hallo,

    ich habe Enfold für ein neues Projekt downgeloadet und bekomme folgende Mitteilung:
    Warning: Narrowing occurred during type inference. Please file a bug report on bugs.php.net in /var/www/vhosts/7/137059/webspace/httpdocs/entwicklung.pension-dopler.at/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/layerslider.php on line 64

    einen Tag später habe ich es erneut downgeloadet und noch einmal versucht, bekomme die gleiche Meldung.

    Verstehe ich es richtig – hat die Version einen Bug?
    Was soll/kann ich tun?

    the same happened to me,
    than I deinstalled Enfold via ftp
    installed it again via WordPress upload
    but still got the warning
    now I deinstalled it so that you can login.

    It should be the latest php version, as I asked the provider for a server update a week ago.

    Hi Rikard,

    sorry, I haven’t tried the password. Now I’ve generated a new password and it works.
    Enfold is deinstalled via ftp as you would only get the warning massage

    Hi Thina,

    Thanks for that, it looks like the theme isn’t installed properly though:

    The active theme is broken. Reverting to the default theme.

    Could you try to delete it and upload it again maybe? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

    Hi Rikard,

    I deleted Enfold over FTP, cleared cache with “clear my cache” Plugin
    than I installed Enfold again by uploading it in WordPress
    and got the same warning massage again.
    (thats what I tried before a couple of times)

    I loged-out and was not able to log-in again, because there was just the warning but no log-in mask.
    So I deleted Enfold again over FTP.

    What makes me wonder is that Twenty Fifteen, Twenty Seventeen and Twenty Sixteen themes work without any problem,
    but as soon as I install Enfold I get that warning.

    Hi Thina,

    Thanks for the feedback. I tried uploading Enfold and I get the same message, do you know if you have debug mode turned on in WordPress? If you’re not sure what I’m talking about then please post FTP details in private so that we can check for you.

    Hi Rikard,

    I installed WordPress like about 10 times before and never turned debug mode one or off
    as well as I successfully installed Enfold about 6 times …
    but I’m a graphic designer and not an IT Pro.

    I’m not quite sure if it would be right to add
    define( ‘WP_DEBUG’, true );
    define( ‘SCRIPT_DEBUG’, true );
    at the bottom of my wp-config.php file

    It would be great if you take a look.

    Hi Nikko,

    thats really really strange!
    I controled the credentials before I pasted them in Private Data and I could access,
    now I tried again to access with the ones form Private Data and it worked again.
    Perhaps it works with the IP address.

    the server is running PHP 7.1.12
    My IT technician tells me that the bug is still not fixed with 7.1.12 – he fixed it for me.

    Hi Rikard,

    he fixed it so far that he was able to install Enfold and I can work with it.
    But the warning massage is still there and when I go to preview I get an empty page with the warning massage.
    So I can not use the preview button and I have to open an other page from the all pages link which makes working pretty slow.

    Please edit the wp-config.php file in the root directory of the site. Add the following PHP code.

    Unfortunately it doesn’t work …
    Now I get instead of the login mask:
    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘&’ in /var/www/vhosts/7/137059/webspace/httpdocs/neu.pension-dopler.at/wp-config.php on line 119

    Hi,

    If I am not mistaken, you’ve copied the code from your email and the markup changed converting the semicolons to their html entity code. Please copy it directly from this forum.
