Tagged: menue navigation
Hello,
i don’t have content for every item in the main menue, some i just want to use for structure. (in my example it is the “Produkte”). If the user clicks on “Produkte” in the main menue, either nothing should happen or it should be linked to one of the submenue-pages (The second level navigation is a megamenue, but i think that doesn’t matter for my question).
In the second level navigation, (the mega menue) i succeed to do use some menu items just with a “Beschreibungstext”.
How can i insert a main menue item with a megamenue underneath but no clickable page behind ?
thanx in advance
KAROline
Hey karowebdesign,
So you don’t want the parent item to be a link?
Best regards,
Jordan Shannon
Hi Jordan,
i didn’t recognize your answer (something with my notification”you’ve got an answer from kriesi” doesnt work )
in fact, i would like to have the choice
a) either to use the main navigation menue option just as a header
b) or to use it as a link that leads to the first submenue (or a default submenue)
(just as in good old html :-)
In the megamenue i used one link just as text, but it can be navigated to via breadcrumbs :-(
but thats another problem.
would be nice, if i had solutions for both options a) and b) above.
kind regards, KAROline, Munich
Hi,
b) or to use it as a link that leads to the first submenue (or a default submenue)
Have you tried to create a “Custom Link” in the Appearance > Menus panel? Create one, name it “Produkte” and then add a hashtag in the url field. You can also use the url of the sub menu item.
Best regards,
