Visual Editor (Standard and Enfold) Disabled on WordPress version 4.8
I just updated my site to WP4.8 and none of the editors will work with the enfold template loaded. I’ve confirmed that I have the latest version of ENFOLD (3.4.3) and tried all the various suggestions by disabling plugins etc.
If I switch to a standard template the basic visual editor will work so this clearly and ENFOLD issue.
I’ve read through numerous posts, all which have no solutions or are at best, ambiguous.
Help!

The latest version of the theme is actually 4.0.7, could you try updating to see if that helps please? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Best regards,

However, please note that my installation of WordPress was totally up to date and the API key was installed. Manual checks for updates to ENFOLD did not show the latest version and reported that I had the latest update.
June 14, 2017 at 5:52 am #807779Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. Not all server environments can handle the automatic updates unfortunately, maybe you could try asking your hosting provider why it’s not working? You could also try running this plugin in order to clear WordPress transients which might be blocking the update notices: https://wordpress.org/plugins/say-what/

1. I’m running at ROCHEN with straight cPanel and a clean install of wordpress (not encumbered by ISP overlays).
2. All my other wordpress updates work (Plugins, themes, etc.)
3. And when I manually checked for an ENFOLD update it reported that it was ‘up to date’
I any case, how often should I check for updates on the site? And/or can I get notifications?
June 15, 2017 at 5:27 am #808389Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, in a perfect world the update notice should come within a few hours of the update being released, since it’s a cron job checking for it. We have have little control over this ourselves unfortunately, since everything is handled by Envato/Themeforest. If you want to dig deeper into why it’s not working then I think it would be better if you contacted Envato directly and talk to you hosting provider as well.
Best regards,
