All icons that i use on my website are missing in all browsers – Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Brave.
This happened before with the social media icons and was fixed, but now all the icons are missing, including Social Media Icons, Search Icon, Go-to-Top icon, down arrow to next section …
I’m running the latest version of WordPress and PHP (7.3.12) and Enfold 4.7.4…
Please help, I am launching a new product tomorrow…
Hey Peter,
Please refer to this: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/icon/#icons-are-showing-as-rectangular-boxes-. The icons are being blocked by the browser since they are served via a CDN. If the fix above doesn’t work then please try loading the font file from your actual domain instead of a CDN.
Best regards,
Rikard
Thanks Rikard
I have updated the.htmaccess file however the rectangular boxes are still seen on all browsers in every geography i test.
I don’t know what you mean by “loading the font file from your actual domain instead of a CDN”, please can you clarify?
Cheers
Peter
Hi Peter,
The font file is served from the URL in private. As you can see, it’s not from your actual domain. That is why the browser is blocking the resource. Would it be possible for you to not load the resource via the CDN service you are using?
Best regards,
Rikard
I have no idea how to do that. I use the basic features of WordPress and Go Daddy as I am not a programmer and do not really understand CSS and PHP.
I don’t even know how to open or view the .woff file you directed me to. It does not open in a text editor.
Hi,
Thanks for the update, I’m not sure how to do it either unfortunately. Did you get the CDN service via your hosting package? If so then please try reaching out to GoDaddy, or the company which is providing the CDN service on your site. They should hopefully be able to help you out with not loading the icon font via their service.
Best regards,
Rikard
