    Hi there Enfold-Support-Team,

I would like to have a vimeo Video in a simple slider on my page. (slider changes itself with video + animated gif)
    Probably a piece of cake.

But when it comes to loading the page I see that the site loads stuff from vimeo.

I would like to start the video loading ONLY on a click on the image (thus, all the stuff should load after the click, like the WP Plugin Lazy Load for Video does… (jquery magic).. anyway lazy load does not work together with enfold as far as i see)…

Do you have a suggestion? Should be a great imrpovement as enfold is taking a lot of ressources and with this the video-load-resource could have been dropped to almost zero…

    What do you think?

    Best,
    Ralf

    Hey Ralf!

What slider are you using? if you are using LayerSlider you could do something like this (it’s for YouTube but it should work for Vimeo too) on a HTML layer.

    Best regards,
    Josue

    Hello Josue,

no I don’t use the Layer-Slider because I need the simple slider. (I have contact forms within the slider and I do not need to have the responsive resize like the layer slider does… it should look more… smart :) )

BTW: I think for Vimeo it does not work in the layer slider…

    Best,
    Ralf

    Hi Ralf!

Which slider are you referring with ‘simple slider’?

    Best regards,

    THIS simple slider…

    Simple Slider

But this does not give the chance to have something like a lazy load… or I don’t see it… :/

    Hi!

Instead of adding a video, add an image then enable the Apply a link or buttons to the slide?. Set the Image Link? to manual. Add the the url of the video. If you really want the lazy load, I’m sorry but we won’t be able to help you with that. Please hire a freelance developer or find a suitable plugin that is compatible with the theme.

    Cheers!

    Hi Ismael,

thats a smart idea but leads to another page. I want to show the video in place…
I only want to reduce the loadtime/bandwith needed … and load the video only on click.

But I do not want to let the video start on a different page. I would have done that by myself first if I wanted it that way :) Sorry.

    Best
    Ralf

    Hi Ralf!

It won’t open on a different page, it will open on the same page as a lightbox window, give it a try.

    Cheers!
    Josue
