Hi all, in the 4.5.7 and up Vimeo videos are no embedding any longer using the hyperlinked embed code. The iFrame embed seems to work fine. I prefer the link and block as that creates a more responsive block. My site is https://cgifranchise.com/. You’ll notice the hero embed works fine. But when I try to add another video block with the SAME video, it will not render (or any other video for that matter). I get a black box with the URL in the upper left corner for Vimeo. What am I missing?
Thanks!
October 14, 2019 at 11:15 am #1147803Hey Daniel,
Thank you for the inquiry.
The video in the first section of the home page is loading properly on our end. Where can we see the issue? Please create a test page so that we can check the problem and make sure that the theme is updated to v4.6.3.1.
Best regards,
IsmaelOctober 24, 2019 at 5:24 pm #1150952Hi Ismael, privacy info is below. It has to do with Enfold, or some plugin. I’ve added it to another Enfold 4.5.3 site and it doesn’t work (see link below for T3). I then added it to our staged site with Enfold 4.5.7, and it does work (see Morether link below).
Because I know you’re going to say upgrade to 4.6, keep in mind that the site that I NEED it to work on is on Enfold 4.5.3 and it worked all during production, and just recently stopped. What’s up? I’ve disabled and re-enabled all plugins, cleared cache, set to dev mode. Everything and nothing is working. Need help ASAP!
October 24, 2019 at 5:49 pm #1150955Also note that Vimeo works great here: https://cgifranchise.com/advisory-board-member-miles-bentley-process/ which is v. 4.5.7. I’m just having a hard time making to work!
October 24, 2019 at 9:36 pm #1150990Last thing, on this staging site URL (privacy password below): http://staging.hubworship.flywheelsites.com/members/nathan-finochio-authentic-relationships-creative-course/, notice one video works great. The other doesn’t render. Both are identical in Vimeo (all settings are exactly the same). Notice this screenshot below of the console. The first avia-iframe-wrap renders the iframe, the second only adds a URL. What’s going on? I need this fix ASAP.
All plugins are disabled. I tried on the base theme for Enfold. I can’t seem to get it.
October 25, 2019 at 12:23 pm #1151177Hi,
Thank you for the update.
The site is still using an older version of the theme. As suggested previously, you need to upgrade it to v4.6.3.1 to fix the cookie consent issue because it prevents the videos from loading properly. Please update us once the site is updated from v4.5.3 to v4.6.3.1. You may need to toggle the settings in the Enfold > Privacy & Cookies and the Enfold > Performance panel — specifically the file compression settings — after upgrading the theme.
Best regards,
IsmaelOctober 25, 2019 at 3:51 pm #1151234Ismael, still not working. We’ve updated to 4.6.3.1, turned off file compression and the cookie consent, replaced the video and nothing. See this link: http://staging.hubworship.flywheelsites.com/courses/nathan-finochio-congregational-song-writing-course/. Notice I can get one of the videos to work, but not the others. I don’t know what the difference is other than the one that works has been on the site since the beginning. I don’t believe it’s a Vimeo thing because they have the exact same settings.
We really need a fix for this ASAP.
October 25, 2019 at 6:05 pm #1151278Update, I just copied the text from the video that worked:
<iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/353782973?dnt=1&app_id=122963" width="1500" height="844" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; fullscreen" allowfullscreen=""></iframe>
And replaced the Vimeo video with the new video from Vimeo and it works great.
Guys, you have a bug with your video block. You need to fix it.
