I’ve found a strange issue using the Enfold Video element where it will redirect SOME visitors to play a video directly on Vimeo rather than what the rest of us see… a video embedded on a page (in this case a WP Download Manager package (page). On another WordPress page, same issue.However, if I use an iframe, ALL visitors can view the video embedded. Not sure why it sometimes works with the Enfold video element and sometimes not. I tested using every browser (Firefox, Edge, Chrome and Safari – same results).
1- I post this as a workaround solution for those struggling with this issue.
2- I ask why this is happening and what info I might provide you in order to help solve the mystery.BAD

The shortcode is supposed to generate the iframe. Nice catch, we will do look a little bit more into this issue.

Thank you for the inquiry.
This might be due to the privacy settings. Did you set the videos to load or play only on user interaction? This will redirect the users to the actual vimeo site unless they already accepted the privacy cookies. Please try disabling the privacy options temporarily and see if it changes anything.

The top video doesn’t work as a Vimeo Media element is not working.
The bottom video (same video) as an iframe embed works.On vimeo, I verified the privacy settings which = Who can watch? “Anyone ”
While I can continue to use the workaround, it would be great to get this fixed so that all Enfold element options work.

Thank you for the update.
We just noticed that the site is still using an older version of the theme, v4.7.5. Updating to the latest version (4.7.6.3) might help fix this issue.

Thank you for your response.I just updated Enfold to v4.7.6.3 and it did no help fix this issue. Server cache and permissions were refreshed, I opened the page in a new private window and other browsers without success.
2. Aside from the Vimeo issue, after the update, I’m seeing font icon (musical note) on each Special Heading section in edit mode only. See the Special Heading on the same page (while special headings don’t offer use of font icons).

The video element works when use the sample vimeo URL, so there is something different with the current video that you are using.
Could you provide a screenshot of the video settings in the Vimeo panel? Did you allow the video to be embedded on external sites?

We are not really sure why that particular video doesn’t work. Is this the only video that is not working? The second video in the page, which is the sample video, is working as it should.

The left one is enfold video alb.
And the right one is iframe ( but i prefered the responsive setting – on share button you can see options button on top right)( That testpage is on Enfold 4.7.6.4 and WP5.5.1 )
have you set any Content Security Policy (CSP) or f.e. a plugin which has set it?
if you are familiar with developer tools have a look to the Console – if there are blocking rules on vimeo sources.Ismael,
Its hit or miss. All the videos have the same settings on Vimeo. I’ll continue to work around the issue by using Vimeography or the embed code. I’m at a loss still on this one. I promise to report back if I find a solution. This is a challenge for us on numerous websites we host on WP Engine.
