    hi
I am doing a page something like this:

with a video in a fullscreen slider. This doesn’t seem to play on any responsive devices –
is there a way to have it play on the ipad, or swap it out for an image slider like this:
? I need to figure something out so it’s not just blank.
I am linking on that page to a you tube video, as I couldn’t get rid of the play/pause button from vimeo.
Do you know how to set that? I think I got rid of all the branding from you tube.

There is also loading delay that I would ideally like to remove – so the video starts right away?
    thanks for your help.

    Hi Munford!

Afaik the videos won’t play automatically on most mobile devices because the devices do not support the “autoplay” feature. The user must click on the video to start it. I.e. iphones can’t play videos automatically without an user interaction. Kriesi now added a “fallback” image option to Enfold 2.6 (we’ll release the update next week) which shows a fallback image instead of the video. If the user clicks on the fallback image the video starts to play.

The loading delay is a technical limitation. Obviously the service needs some time to load the video data and to buffer some seconds of the video data.

    Best regards,
    Peter

Thanks for your reply. I have read some other answers to this topic – is there a way to swap out the video slider for an image slider on responsive media? I saw there was some way to add a css code but it was not listed. I can wait for the new release, sounds good, but was wondering if there was a work-around for now?
thanks very much! I know you must be dealing with a lot of video related topics!

    Hey!

You can add image slider above or below your video slider and post the link to your website and point out the section so we can provide you custom CSS code

OK great – the page is here:

top color section with video, next with a fullwidth slider with images.
if the top video will not play on ipad/iphone/mobile, then I would like the
    image slider to play instead.

If that works, I need to do the same thing on the danish version of the site-
is that going to cause problems? I have not set that one up yet.
thanks very much for your help!

PS This topic was closed but I have not gotten the help I need yet – please keep it open even though the new update is supposed to deal with the video on mobile issue – I think I still need the css fix if you have time to send it my way. thanks!
