I made a new post on pure text mode and put a Youtube link in the first line, the video is there, but it is noch recognized as a video post. I also copied the source of a working video post (an adapted post from the demo import) but this didn’t work either.
Do you have any suggestions?

I’m not sure what you mean that it’s not recognised as a video post, where can you see that problem? Please send us a temporary admin login so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

I’m still not sure what you mean by it not being recognised as a video post? The two posts you are comparing are not using the same format. One is video and the other one is standard: Mops Konrad unterwegs in modischer Mission – is a video post. Mopsmodel-Casting in München – is a standard post. Could you try to explain a bit further what you think is wrong please?

https://kriesi.at/support/topic/post-video-format/This is what I did for both posts above, but as you already mentioned one of them (Mopsmodel-Casting in München) is a standard post, which in my opinion should also be displayed in the same way as the other one!

Ok I understand now, though I don’t think only pasting a link to a video on the first line automatically makes it a video post. I tried on my local installation with just a YouTube link in the post and it stays in the Standard format. I think you will have to manually select what format you want the post to be in to be honest.

Oh sorry, I thought you knew that. You can select that in the right hand Format menu when editing the post, just under the Publish menu. If you don’t see that then you should have the option to select it in the Screen Options menu at the top right hand corner, also in the edit screen of the post.
