    Hi there,

    I would like to play a self-hosted video in the full screen slider.

    Unfortunately, the video is muted in the desktop output and no controls (volume) are visible in the mobile outputs.
    The specified plugin on Github.com is unfortunately no longer available.

    What can I do?

    Hey a-l-p,
    Thank you for your patience and sorry for the late reply, when your video is set to auto play the sound is muted due to the browser rules, this is not an error in the theme, the theme follows the rules set by the browsers and doesn’t try to override them. There maybe some plugins that do this but the browsers try to block this with each update. I recommend either not auto playing, or add a message to “turn on sound”.
    WordPress removed the volume controls for the video player a few years ago on mobile because the mobile devices have a physical button to manage the sound, the theme uses the WordPress player and not a custom one. Perhaps there is a plugin that behaves differently but I have not searched for any.
