Dear Kriesi,
I have an ongoing problem with the video element. When I add Vimeo videos the player displays a large black box and just a link to the video. This has been happening now on and off for months, and I didn’t understand why it happens with some videos and not others. The video on Vimeo has no privacy restrictions.
I have tried using an Easy Slider for the time being with a video slide. This plays the same video correctly, but then it has no sound, even though the ‘mute’ option is turned off in the Easy Slider.
This is very frustrating.

RichardDear Kriesi, I am including a private link to the problematic page below. When I create a new page and add a new video element the problem is resolved. So there is some kind of bug in the video element on older or existing pages.

Sorry for the very late reply and thanks for your patience and thanks for the link to your site, I tried to recreate your page which looks like a single column with a video element in it and a specific Vimeo video, but this is working on my live test site, please see the link below.
Have you tried to disable all of your plugins and disabled any webhost caching?
