    Hi Team,

    after updating to Enfold 4.3 the video for color section background don’t start automaticly.
    What is wrong?

    I am having the same problem. Is it a self-hosted video or Youtube video or Vimeo?

    It seems like every update breaks the video background.

    Hi,

    We are very sorry for the late response.

    The video element is not playing automatically without the “autoplay” attribute. This is not the case before. Please modify the framework > php > function-set-avia-frontend.php file, look for the “avia_html5_video_embed” function. Replace everything with this code.

    Edit the av-helper-slideshow.php file inside the config-templatebuilder > aviashortcodes folder. Look for the “avia_slideshow_video_helper” class, replace everything with this code.

    We just added the “autoplay” parameter to the “avia_html5_video_embed” function.

    Hi Ismael,

    ok, I have do this but nothing is happens, video still don’t start.
    I have try your modification at child-theme an enfold directory – nothing!
    Hope you will find an solution?!

    Hi!

    Thank you for the update. For now, please replace the background video with a static image and then create a test page where we can see the issue. Post the login details in the private field so that we can implement the changes. Make sure that the Appearance > Editor panel is accessible and the files writable.

    Same here, video background is not auto-playing after updating to 4.3 today. We will rollback the update until you figure this out, changing to a static image is not a great option for us.

    Did you try the changes above? It works on our end. Please create a new thread with the WP/FTP details in the private field so we can test the modifications.

    Same problem here as well, not working for self-hosted webm files or mp4 files. Tried the solution posted in this thread and it didn’t work for me, either. Rolling back theme to previous version until solution is posted. Thanks!

    UPDATE: YouTube videos still work, so I was able to create a temporary “fix” by uploading my self hosted videos to YouTube, then linking to them.

    I’m having the same issue, I could pinpoint it to the “Disabling of template builder elements” in the Enfold performance options. If it is set to “Always load all elements” background videos work fine. On “Load only used elements (recommended)” background videos stop working.

    thats’ your automatic formatation of the private content:
    In the Middle of the password are two “-“, not one. That is right
    when I copy it in the filed but when I save it there is only one ‘-‘ :(

    Every single update since the middle of last year has had major bugs that have to be patched in the forums. This video bug has been around on and off since about that same time.

    With respect — the coders need to focus on stabilization of this theme before they focus on optimization.

    A new version of the theme is now available, 4.3.1. It has the “video” and “404” fixes. The “video” fix is different from what is provided in this thread. Let us know if it works in your installation.

    4.3.1 did not fix the self-hosted video issue, and it adds an issue with Masonry where lightboxes no longer appear (separate thread opened for that issue since it’s major).
