Hello,
I have problems with the very slow loading of my page.
I have tried everything to speed it up: upgraded my hosting, edited php.ini -memory_limit etc-, gzip, caching, minify, optimized DB, moved scripts to footer, uninstalled almost all plugins, deleted all product pages to make DB smaller, used standard fonts, installed most recent Enfold version, installed site on another server…. and much more.
Last thing I did was changing the theme and that was the only thing which made the site fast.
Do you have an idea what could be the problem? What else could be done ?
Thanks in advance

Are you having these problem on the back- or front-end of your site? In any case please post admin login details in private and try to explain the problem a bit further and we’ll have a closer look.
Best regards,

It’s both: backend and frontend, but frontend worse.
Since my post I continued working on the site. It was faster with Twenty Fourteen, but then I installed two other themes for testing and the result was as slow as before.
I finally discovered that my pages are not automatically preloaded with WP Fastest Cache, if I click on them manually they are cached and finally much faster! So maybe while testing Twenty Fourteen I was looking at pages being cached…
I cannot click on all of them each time the cache is emptied because there are too many. I cannot use WP3, it’s giving me an error. Is there a plugin you recommend particulary ?
If you could have a look anyway I would be very grateful, because I wonder if it is normal that a page needs about 8-10 seconds to load without being cached. Maybe there is a problem somewhere I couldn’t figure out.Best regards
ABFebruary 13, 2017 at 8:34 am #746203Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. Please have a look at the link in private, you can see a full rundown of what is being loaded on your site and for how long there. It looks like images are taking up most of your load time so I would start there. There are also long periods of waiting for the server to respond (indicated in yellow), that is something which you will have to bring up with your hosting provider.
Best regards,
RikardFebruary 13, 2017 at 2:37 pm #746409Hi,
I’ve tested the page with this tool already.
Problem is that pages are not loading faster even if there is no image at all. I’ve changed hosting to high performance speed also, hoster says there are too many scripts loading…
I also installed the whole site on another hosting where I get the same results (also slow server response). So I’ve done about everything I could do ;)
Strangely Google Page Speed shows good results, which is not true. I use Enfold all the time and never a page has been as slow as this. So there must be a specific problem with this one (maybe DB is too big? 120MB)
Anyway I installed WP super cache where preloading seems to work better (even if it still does not do it automatically on all pages, could not find an answer to this) But as soon as pages are cached speed is very good. So I try to keep working in this direction.Best regards
