Hi.
Today I left the pc without saving. And when I went back to the pc the window for the login was up. I clicked on “login” it logged and automatically refreshed the page and the post, disappeared.
Nothing in the revisions.
Why did it happen? And how to retrieve the unsaved post? And the autosave? Why didn’t it work?
Thanks in advance.
Marco
Hey marcoabis81,
Thank you for using Enfold.
I’m not really sure why that happened but if I were to guess, the user session probably expired before the editor get the chance to autosave the post. Unfortunately, you can’t retrieve an unsaved post or contents that are not available in the revision. Please save your work regularly. You can also adjust the auto save interval value in the wp-config.php file.
define('AUTOSAVE_INTERVAL', 300 ); // seconds
Best regards,
Ismael
Hi Ismael,
not sure why it happened. What I noticed is that when I went back to the pc, the login was expired. And when I reloaded the page the post was gone. I searched everywhere on the internet and found that when the login expires, WP may inform you that there is a previous back up of the post I was writing. This option appeared on the post page after about 1 hour when I had already started to re-write the post. For the next time, where do I find those temporary backups? They are not in the revisions, I believe those back up posts are stored some where else.
Regards,
Marco
