Aus mir unerfindlichen Gründen ist mein vertical menu nicht mehr sichtbar. Im Backend sieht aber alles richtig aus. Woran kann das liegen?
September 13, 2018 at 8:09 am #1009263Hey MatthSp,
Are you adding that to a sidebar? Where exactly is it supposed to show? Please send us a temporary admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

Please deactivate all plugins one by one to check which one is causing this issue and let us know if this solves the problem.

VictoriaSeptember 13, 2018 at 6:54 pm #1009597Hi Victoria,
Tried this now many times in the past days in order to find out whether any plugin plays a role. Even clearing the caches and stuff like this doesn’t help. I really have no idea why this happend because I didn’t change anything in the enfold settings. The vertical menu seems to be there in both languages and is supposed to appear on the sidebar on the right. Would you mind checking my backend in order to fix this, please? Many thanks,
MatthiasSeptember 14, 2018 at 5:19 am #1009791Hi Matthias,
Thanks for the feedback and the login details. I’m a bit confused though, is this problem happening on the front page? If so then you have selected to not show a sidebar on that page? If this is happening on a different page then please link directly to that. If I’m misunderstanding you then please post screenshots highlighting the problem, from the backend for instance.
Best regards,

Yes it’s not visible anymore on the frontend although I haven’t changed anything in the backend set-up. Just to recap: the vertical menu is supposed to appear on the right sidebar with the title “XTRAS” and has similar content in both languages (German and English) with the exception that a page called “Blog” is only in German. The sidebar content is not visible anymore on the frontend. However, the links are still active (so they can be found on Google – please see one link in the private content) and certainly they are still in the backend.I would love to send you some screenshots from the backend but do have no idea how to post them via this tool
All the best,
MatthiasSeptember 17, 2018 at 5:51 am #1010564Hi,
Are you referring to the sidebar navigation? The theme automatically creates a sidebar navigation based on the pages’ hierarchy. For example, if the current page is one of the child pages of a parent page, the parent page along with its child pages will appear in the sidebar. You can enable the “Page Sidebar navigation” in the Enfold > Sidebar panel. You can also add a Navigation Menu widget via Appearance > Widgets panel.

IsmaelSeptember 17, 2018 at 2:07 pm #1010755Hi Ismael,
Exactly. I had it all done that way and since I upgraded to WPML Multilingual CMS (Version 4.0.7) I have trouble in the backend. At some point the sidebar navigation disappeared. That means that I cannot set-up anymore any details in the theme options for my Enfold frontend in both languages. The menues are not visible in the backend. Checked this again and now I found that the widget was made automatically inactive although I have hade it active for years now. I think the vertical menu issue is basically fixed now but I still cannot switch between the languages. So the English Vertical Menus is not visible, because I cannot define it. At the moment it shows the footer menue and I cannot switch to the vertical menut. I only can do the set-up once WPML Multilingual CMS (Version 4.0.7) is deactivated but then I ony have access to one language. When I activate WPML Multilingual CMS (Version 4.0.7) again I have no chance to access anythnig in English. So as far as I can see the trouble is WPML Multilingual CMS (Version 4.0.7). I’m asking myself whether I should downgrade to an earlier version. I have also asked the WPML Multilingual CMS (Version 4.0.7) support whether they can help me but so far they could not help me. Do you understand now what the real trouble is?Best regards,
MatthiasSeptember 18, 2018 at 4:22 am #1011061Hi,
The blog is disabled in the Performance panel. Was that intentional? We enabled it back and then set the front and blog pages in the Theme Options panel. (see private field)

Sorry for the late reply. I would like to revert the changes but I got locked out because of WordFence. I set the front and blog pages in the Enfold > Theme Options panel for both languages and then reset the Settings > Reading options to default. That’s all I did.

IsmaelSeptember 19, 2018 at 2:06 pm #1011811Hi,
It seems there are various problems now. Whenever something is changed newly at the moment it doesn’t work for both languages. Even the footer menue etc. is affected. So when I was starting reverting the changes you made it only worked for the German version, but not for the English version. And I could only doing it deactivating WPML at first. Otherwise nothing can be set in Enfold or in other plugins. That’s the issue I’m fighting with. At the moment the frontend is totally damaged (w/ or w/o WPML or any other plugins). I restored an older database from last week but it didn’t help either.I’m trying to fix it at first increasing the PHP Memory limit and maybe afterwards I will re-install Enfold via ftp, if you agree. It seems that more memory is needed. It’s set at the hoster at 256M but actually I only have 40M. So I will have to add a snipped in the wp-config.php.
In case this doesn’t work I will get back to you again and we take it from there. All the best,
