    Hi there,

    I’m still working out some issues I’m having when upgrading to the latest version of Enfold so I’m not ready to take the update live yet, but I’d like to update to WP 4.2.2. Is there any issue using Enfold v3.0.4 (the version I’m currently live on) with WP v4.2.2 or would that be ok?

    Hey Jonathan!

    Please firstly update Enfold to the latest version 3.1.5 – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
    It is fully compatible with WordPress 4.2.2

    Hi Yigit,

    Sorry but you misunderstood the question! I am asking if it’s ok to update to WP v4.2.2 if I’m using Enfold v3.0.4? I am not yet ready to update Enfold as it’s causing issues for me that I’m still working through.

    So is it ok to update to WP 4.2.2 but still run Enfold 3.0.4?

    Hey!

    Oh, my bad! Enfold 3.0.4 is not compatible with WordPress 4.2.2, so in that case, please do not update WordPress yet. When you are ready to update the theme, please firstly update the theme and then WordPress. Starting from WordPress 4.2, widget areas require unique ID’s and Enfold 3.1.5 provides them but if you update WordPress firstly, your widget areas may be reset.
