Hello,
I found this top addressed under another theme (Abundance), but not sure if it’s been addressed in Enfold. Vaultpress has picked up the following security threat:
WT.ShortCode.Exploit
“A security vulnerability was discovered in the WooThemes framework. Please update it to the version 5.3.12 or greater and remove the file preview-shortcode-external.php if it remains in your theme.
preview-shortcode-external.php
/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/avia_shortcodes”
Vaultpress found the threat on March 24, 2015.
Hey kristenangel!
Thank you for using Enfold.
The theme doesn’t utilize any of the WooThemes Framework so I’m not sure what’s the connection.
Do you have any other premium themes other than Enfold? There’s a chance, one way or another that the scanner will find “malicious” scripts on it. Most of these errors or warnings are invalid or inaccurate. You can just ignore them or you can install security plugins to prevent any possible security threats.
Regards,
Ismael
Hi!
The file is actually secured, we have not been using the original woothemes version for quite some time. In addition to that its only part of the framework because of our older themes that use the old template builder. If you are worried you can remove the file since enfold does not use it at all but its not really necessary ;)
