    Hi,

    I have created a product with variations. I have also assigned different pictures to each variation.
    When selecting a variation, however, the main image is displayed.
    What’s wrong?

    Could somes please help me?

    Hello Victoria,
    thank you for writing me.
    “If you notice product variations, tax rates and other large data sets not saving” (article: roblems with large amounts of data not saving (variations, rates etc)) is not the solution of the problem I wrote about. Everything was saved.
    The problem ist: when a user is going to buy the “Grenzwertgeber”, the variation saved picture is not shown.
    I activated the theme Twenty Nineteen, and there is everything fine.

    maybe, there must be something else…

    Hi Victoria,

    I think we talk past each other. I’m not using no a Gallery.
    I just create a product with variations. And each veriation has it’s own picture.
    NORMALY, if a customer clicks his variation, he want’s to buy, it has to be shown
    the picture of the variation AND NOT the main-picture.
    I wrote yout, that I activated the theme Twenty Nineteen, and there is everything fine.
    You simply can try it out with the private link.

    Hi underhill123,

    I know what you mean. Product images display is called gallery in this case and there are two of those, that can be chosen in the theme options. One is from WooCommerce and the other is from Enfold. I can be that the one WooCommerce works better with variations. Which Enfold are you running?

    I also have an issue with product variations images not being shown.

    I have created a staging platform of our live site, run loads of updates, but now the variation images don’t work across the staging platform, it works fine on the original site.

    So far I have:
    • Deactivated all plugins, apart from woo, but the issue remained.
    • Removed the parent product image, then the variations worked perfectly, but obviously it no longer had an image when viewing in category view.

    I’m using the latest Enfold and woocommerce for images.

    Hi Warnstar,

    Please try to use the WooCommerce gallery and see if variations work better.
