Variable Woocommerce products not showing "show details" button on shop page

I am using Woocommerce and have simple and variable products. On my Shop page, I am using the layout builder and Product Grid. The simple products show both a buy now (adds to cart) and a show details (takes them to individual product page). The variable products only show a Buy Now single button which does take them to the product page to select an option. I would like to have the same buttons for the variable products as the simple products. So both show details as well as buy now. Is there a way to get both buttons to show with variable products? Just to keep it consistent and give the user the same options for each product.
