    Hi,

I want to use the post-grid as it is used in the demo. Right now I have set it up as I thought it should be, but the featured image is a square, I would like it to have the width of the column, see here.

    Hope you can help me.

    Regards,

    Erwin

    Hey erwin_m,

Wordpress is cropping images by default when uploading them and if you want to control this behavior you can use a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-image-sizes
I hope this will help :).

    Best regards,
    Andy

    Hi Andy,

Thanks for your reply. I’ve installed the plugin you mentioned. Now I have a lot of media-classes which I can change. I’ve tried featured, because I have added the image as the featured image. But this doesn’t change anything. Can you tell me which class I should use?

medium 300 px 300 px No
    medium_large 768 px 0 px No
large 1030 px 1030 px No

    featured_large 1500 px 630 px Yes
    extra_large 1500 px 1500 px No

    portfolio_small 260 px 185 px Yes
gallery 845 px 684 px Yes
magazine 710 px 375 px Yes
masonry 705 px 705 px No
    entry_with_sidebar 845 px 321 px Yes
    entry_without_sidebar 1210 px 423 px Yes
    shop_thumbnail 120 px 120 px Yes

    Hi Andy,

Tried both portfolio-items, but this doesn’t change a thing. Any other suggestions?

    Regards,

    Erwin

    Hi,

both portfolio items have different image sizes, so if it doesn’t change a thing for you, then something is not working. You should be able to see different image sizes. For this you really need to regenerate your thumbnails, clear browser cache and hard refresh a few times. Also make sure that you host is not caching anything on your server. Please try this with another (default) WordPress theme to check if this is a theme related issue or not.

    Best regards,
    Andy
