Hi guys!
I onboarded one more client and had them get an Enfold license, of course. ;) I am thinking of having their blog posts use the advanced layout editor so they can have promos on widgets on a template and just add the article text. Here’s my question. Besides the related posts not showing (and that’s not a problem because I can add a post slider) is there anything else I should be aware of that will not display?
I did a test and there doesn’t seem to be any but better be prepared than go oooopps!! right?
Ah! One more question. Is there a way to limit the height of the full screen slider to 50% of the screen?
Thank you so much for all your support!
Warmly,
Havi
February 16, 2016 at 11:58 am #584089Hi Havi!
Thank you :)
You would need to add Social Share Buttons and Comments element to the bottom of your post manually. Also, post meta would not show up but there is a workaround, please see Ismael’s post here – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/using-alb-with-custom-post-type-and-meta-information/#post-580144
Have you tried using Fullwidth Easy Slider instead? :)

YigitFebruary 16, 2016 at 6:24 pm #584322Hi Yigit!!!
Thank you so much!!
I use the ESSB plugin for social sharing and it’s really terriric, so I’m covered there. Comments…. how do I add comments? Should I add Disqus, or FB comments?
For the Post Metas, they don’t show up but they are still there for Google and Yoast, correct? I can add an author plugin. Most of this content is evergreen, so showing the date is not really crucial (or the category)
I tried Fullwidth Easy Slider but it doesn’t have the buttons as text like the other one. :( See? We keep on asking for more and more of the good stuff!!!! (I may be able to work around it like I did on the RSM’s site home page. (I added a link to it on the private content)

Havi
February 17, 2016 at 12:18 pm #584623Hey Havi!
You can simply go to Content Elements tab of Advanced Layout Builder and add Comments element to the bottom of your post :)
If you could post a link to an example, we may come up with a different approach with the slider :)
Cheers!
YigitFebruary 19, 2016 at 8:39 pm #586299Of course!!! Here you go! Sending you the credentials to be able to login to staging site :) I think I may need to resort to what I did on the other site so the caption gets centered inside the left-frame but flushed left ;) and I can add the red gradient to the red button and an image below with the logos. ;)
What do you suggest I should use as a slider image size so it’s viewed properly on mobile? :)
And one more question: How do I hide the top menu bar on mobile and tablets?
Thank you, thank you so much!!!

Havi
February 23, 2016 at 9:52 pm #587988Hey!
not sure what’s the issue about. Can you highlight using screenshots please? so we can get a clear idea of what you need. use imgur.com or dropbox.
You can hide the menu in question using this code in Quick CSS field:
@media only screen and (max-width: 767px) { nav.sub_menu { display: none; }}
Cheers!
AndyFebruary 23, 2016 at 10:29 pm #588013Hi Andy!!
Don’t worry about the workaround… I wanted to have a slider that was 50% in height and I can achieve that with the Easy Slider but it doesn’t allow me to add Buttons under the title like the Full Screen slider does. And I thought I could use the same method I used for another site but I didn’t add a slider there. Just a video background. Oh well… such is life!!! :)
Is nav. sub_menu the one for Top Menu Bar? It’s not responding… :(
Thank you Andy!!!! So much!!!

Havi
February 24, 2016 at 12:14 am #588036Hey!
yes it’s for top menu bar. What do you mean with it’s not responding? do you mean the code is not working for you? don’t forget to clear browser cache. If it’s really not working for you then send us admin access, so we can take a deeper look into it.
