Hi, I’d like to use the “Use first slides caption as permanent caption” option in some Fullwidth Easy Sliders on a new site, but I’d also like to use the “Apply Link to Image” and “Open Image in Lightbox” settings. But applying that “Use first slides caption as permanent caption” option seems to disable the Lightbox links — are you familiar with this issue? Thanks.

No, have not seen this before.
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?

July 19, 2019 at 2:10 am #1120042I am having the same issue. In my case, I am not trying to open the images in a lightbox. I am trying to set links manually on each image in the slider. By selecting “Use first slide’s image as permanent caption,” it appears to disable the ability to click the slides.

What are the details of your installation?

VictoriaJuly 19, 2019 at 7:07 pm #1120317My installation is standard, as far as I know. And now you have another participant saying their having a similar issue. So, don’t you have a testing site where you can set a Fullwidth Easy Slider to “Use first slides caption as permanent caption” and “Apply Link to Image”?, Seems like a pretty easy test and I think you’ll find that setting “Use first slides caption as permanent caption” disables the links.

Yes, you’re right, it acts the same on my machine. I will ask our devs to have a look.

VictoriaJuly 22, 2019 at 10:38 am #1120792Hi,
This is the description of the checkbox “Use first slides caption as permanent caption” in fullwidth easy slider:
If checked the caption will be placed on top of the slider. Please be aware that all slideshow link settings and other captions will be ignored then
So this is a known limitation.
I added this issue to our dev repo to check if it is possible to add this feature in a future release. Please check the changelog for it.
