ANTTDNW (Another Nice Trick That Does Not Work)
Hello there
I read the forum, I found it’s not possible using the provided tools, the suggestion is to manually change the CSS (but this is well beyond my skills)
I read also that I can configure the same theme, no extra costs, on the same domain, so I thought:
I prepare http://www.mydomain.com with the standard RED color theme and an additional 3rd level green.mydomain.com with the (guess?) GREEN color theme.
The problem, switching from red to green, is that the menu changes because I don’t have the same pages on both domains
I made a test, a manual change in the red page HTML code, using:<meta http-equiv=”Refresh” content=”1; URL=http://green.mydomain.com/?p=3592″>
(tested, it works)
when I click on the “green products” menu item I get for a second the RED page I have created on RED that soon changes into the corresponding GREEN one on the other domain; but in green.mydomain.com there is (currently) only that page so the menu in the header is not complete as in the red domain (unless I duplicate all those RED pages, inserting in each of them the a.m. META tag.Well, at this point I have two requests:
1. ADD the option to change the color scheme on different pages on the same domain
2. CHANGE this awful light-gray color into a solid-black to improve readability of what I’m typing :)
Thank you.- This topic was modified 9 years, 1 month ago by luratidante.
November 23, 2015 at 12:17 pm #540671Hello Giovanni,
Color Schemes (and any other theme options) bound to installation, so technically you can’t have a different theme options per page, however, this would be really easy to do on a Multi Site installation, there’s also plugins that let you have a global menu throughout the sites – https://wordpress.org/plugins/multisite-shared-menu/

YigitDecember 3, 2015 at 11:41 am #546345Hello Yigit
I spoke with our local support for WP, he said to wait and search for a different solution. He’s not fully confident in the plugin.
Please put the [suspended] tag to the post and change to [dismissed] if I don’t reply in – let say – two weeks.

JosueJune 6, 2016 at 5:23 pm #643498Hello.
We “solved” the issue using Quick CSS on the few pages that needed the green color instead of red. I would consider CLOSED this post, thank you.June 6, 2016 at 9:04 pm #643619Hey!
Please do let us know if we can do anything else for you!
Thanks a lot!
