    Hello,
I need help urgently. I have Maintenance Mode on my website but it seems it is not working. I have had several people tell me they are not being redirected as they should be and get an error instead.

    Hey educatedathlete,

    Thank you for using Enfold.

The site requires authentication. Please post it in the private field. How did you set the maintenance mode?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismal,
I can create an account for you if you need it. I set it to maintenance mode through the Enfold child theme settings checkbox: Enfold Child Theme > Theme Settings > Maintenance Mode. Then I set Redirect all users to this page: coming soon.

    Hi Ismael,
I’m sorry but I don’t know what that is. How can I give you access?
    Thanks,

    Chris

    Hi,

I am referring to this authentication.

    // https://stackoverflow.com/questions/36452339/password-protect-website-with-htaccess-and-htpasswd-error-could-not-open

Please ask your hosting provider for that info. Or check the wp root directory where the htaccess or the .htpasswds files are located.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

The actual htaccess authentication info is inside the “/home2/theeduf8/.htpasswds/” file. Please post the content of that file in the private field.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

Did you set up the htaccess authentication? Please ask your hosting provider for that info or post the FTP details in the private field so that we can check the root directory of your installation.

This is what we need in order to access the site: https://imgur.com/a/ycz8LZk

    Best regards,

    Hi,

That info takes me a to blank directory in your file server. Please make sure that it has access to the WP root directory or the public_html folder. You should contact your hosting provider.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi,

The site is loading properly on my end now. Is the maintenance mode still on? I can’t check it because the previous WP login credentials are no longer working.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
