Hi!
I’m hoping someone can help me. I have changed a link on the homepage which caused all slider images and the images in the turquoise section right underneath to disappear. https://www.pointgreyfiesta.org/Here’s what I did:
The hyperlink for the turquoise words Fiesta in the Park underneath the large slider used to go to
http://www.pointgreyfiesta.org/pages/fiesta-details/#toggle-id-6
and I have changed it to
http://www.pointgreyfiesta.org/pages/fiesta-details/#toggle-id-7I’m not sure how such a simple hyperlink change created such a huge problem and I have spent a couple of hours trying to fix it but am not going anywhere… Unfortunately WordPress only keeps 5 revisions and I didn’t realize that every time I click on ‘Update’ it would add a new revision so now I can’t go back to the version that was working. It should look like in this screenshot:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/bi08r3kezub733y/Screenshot%202019-05-27%2015.24.06.png?dl=0The weird thing is that the slider and turquoise section in WordPress shows all images are there. But something prevents them from showing on the live site.
Hoping someone has a suggestion on how to fix this.
Thanks!May 28, 2019 at 9:51 am #1104756Hi messmeriza
I inspected your slider in the frontend – looks good to me. The sliders such as https://www.pointgreyfiesta.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/slider-1.png are there and should be displayed.
You probably have to wait for a moderator to reply here (I am just a participant like you) because without backend access it is quite difficult to judge why the images are not displayed correctly.
In addition, I don’t see any differences between the links you posted. They are the same for me.
Cheers

I appreciate it!
CarolinMay 29, 2019 at 1:02 am #1104991I found a backup which I managed to install. So the images are all showing up again.
BUT
Since the turquoise text link ‘Fiesta in the Park’ mentioned in my first post is still wrong I just tried to change it again from http://www.pointgreyfiesta.org/pages/fiesta-details/#toggle-id-6 to http://www.pointgreyfiesta.org/pages/fiesta-details/#toggle-id-7 and the same thing happens: As soon as I click on ‘Update’ all images on the homepage disappear. What could cause this to happen? How can I change the link without breaking the page?
Please help. Thanks!
CarolinJune 1, 2019 at 3:16 am #1105915Hi Carolin,
Thanks for the update and sorry for the late reply. I don’t want to change anything on your site in case it should mess something up, are we allowed to change the link in question?
Best regards,
RikardJune 1, 2019 at 7:16 am #1105983Hi Rikard,
yes you can try to change it as long as you go back to the last revision if it breaks the images.
Do you know of a plugin that can export 1 page (the homepage) rather than the whole website? Then you could export a copy of the homepage and import it again in case you need to? I have also installed a Duplicate page plugin but when I duplicate the homepage it changes the duplicate to the theme default.

June 2, 2019 at 4:27 am #1106245Hi Carolin,
We don’t have a plugin but you can follow this in order to show layout builder shortcodes, that would enable you to copy/paste pages: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-advanced-layout-builder/#debug-mode. You are not using a child theme though so this would be removed on updates if I add it to your site. I’m not sure what you would like to do?

RikardJune 2, 2019 at 6:46 am #1106271Hi Rikard,
please go ahead and try to update the link without the layout builder shortcodes. Obviously you can go back to the current homepage via the revisions and if this fails I have a backup on the ftp server where the website is hosted.
Thanks!
CarolinJune 3, 2019 at 2:58 am #1106521Hi Carolin,
I changed the link to 7 but I can’t see anything breaking, could you have a look now please?

RikardJune 3, 2019 at 7:45 pm #1106805Hi Rikard,
thanks very much for doing that and yes all images are there. I have no idea why they had disappeared when I changed the link, but glad that it didn’t happen when you did.
Victoria had made some suggestions on June 1st which I did and maybe that’s why it worked for you?
