    I went to the backend of my website to do a regular update of everything and this time the usual message “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.” took longer than expected to end up in giving me an error. Now I am not able to get anywhere, no access to the front end and the back end. The message always is “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.” and I NEED HELP please.

    I visited your site and it seems your site is back up and the maintenance message is gone. I was able to access both the front end and back end.

    Yes, it came back a while after the failed update of my plugins got exhausted. But something very bad is happening to my site. I am getting this error
    “Warning: number_format() expects parameter 1 to be double, string given in /home/content/29/9989129/html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 222”
    when I go to PLUGINS/ADD NEW and I know it has nothing to do with the plugins because I deactivated all, and also I changed temporarily the theme to TwentyTwelve, and the problem persists. And to update any plugin, woocommerce included, I have to switch the theme to TwentyTwelve to update succesfuly otherwise I get that lagging message “Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.” and it fails.

    Please help.

    Hey!

    if you have this issue with a default WordPress as well, then it’s not theme related and we can’t help much in this case. Seems that your WordPress installation is corrupt.
