    Hi

On my website, I use the Wholesale Suite plugins. One of them, the Wholesale Suite Lead Capture, accepts registration. After going back and forth for the last week with the plugin developer to try and find what plugin may cause a registration failed error, today, in my staging area, I disabled all plugins except WooCommerce and all Wholesale Suite plugins and switch to the Twenty Seventeen default theme. The registration worked as expected with no error and I got redirected to my Wholesale Thank You page. All form fields, in particular the province/state dropdown field displays correctly.

As soon as I activate my Enfold theme, still without any other plugins activated, the dropdown field for the province/state no longer displays correctly and I receive a registration failed error. The registration notifications do get sent and the wholesale user role gets created. However, the failed error is displayed and the redirect to the Wholesale Thank You page no longer works.

Here’s a link to a screenshot of the province/state dropdown display issue:

I have included admin login credentials and URL for my staging area into the private area.

Hope you can help figure this one out quickly because I am scheduling the website launch this weekend.

    Much appreciated

    Hey tremblayly!

    Thank you for using Enfold.

We will try our best to help but I’m sure that you’re familiar with the support scope and third party plugins are not included in those. Anyway, I tried to access the site but the login credentials above are not working. Please check it carefully.

Do you see any error in the console after the registration?

    Cheers!

    Hi Ismael,

I understand the support scope with plugins.

I have removed the restricted access to the website for testing, so there shouldn’t be a problem for you to see the site. I also resetted your wp-admin password. I also removed the re-captcha security on the form temporarily on the staging area only.

I have server errors since yesterday, so WP Engine support just fixed the .htaccess file and pushed the most updates to my staging area. In the staging, feel free to deactivate any of the plugins you need at will.

As for the web console, I see no errors generated.

    Would you please try again.

Thank you and sorry about this hickup

    Hi!

It seems that this is the Select 2 plugin and the version included is making issues.
Can you please ask the plugin developer if he is using the latest version?

    Thank you very much

    Best regards,
    Basilis

    Hi Basilis,

    I’m sorry, but I don’t see a Select2 plugin?

    Hey!

Did you remove the user account? I tried both but they’re not working.

    Regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

I did not removed the accounts. I again resetted the password on both the staging and live site.
I was also able to login using the account.

    See in the private window.

    Thank you

    Hi Ismael,

I just received the following from the plugin developer:

” I’m afraid WooCommerce Wholesale Suites plugins doesn’t use the Select2 js instead we use the Chosen js. So the conflict isn’t likely us in that case. Could you please let your theme support know about this?”

    Thanks

    Hey!

    Thank you for the update.

How can we reproduce the issue again? I checked the checkout page and the select fields look fine. I’m pretty sure, I’m NOT looking in the right place. What is the registration url?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

Here’s the wholesale registration page where when you try to register you will see the registration failed error:
    http://silviafindings.staging.wpengine.com/wholesale-registration (hosted on WPengine)

    Thanks

    Hey!

There is an error in the captcha field.

    ERROR for site owner:
    Invalid domain for site key

    Cheers!
    Ismael

    #751186

    Hi Ismael,

It’s because the site key is attached to the production domain and not the staging one.

I have disabled the recaptcha on the form on the staging area. You should no longer get the error.

    Thanks

    Hi!

Alright. It’s working now but every time I try to register I got a “Sorry, that username already exists!” error. Where can I define the username? There is no such field in the registration form.

Here’s a link to a screenshot of the province/state dropdown display issue:

The province/state dropdown looks fine though.

    Hi Ismael,

I disabled both the username and password fields so you should not receive this message. The email address could already be used though.

As for the province/dropdown issue, you don’t get the the box above the actual drowpdown list?

    Ismael,

I try the form again today and get no response whatsoever, no error either, but it does not work.

    Hey!

This is what I get after clicking the “Register” button. How did you disable those fields?

    Hi Ismael,

They are options I can enable/disable in the Wholesale Lead Capture plugin built-in fields. I had to disable them because one requires a password and I must has an SSL to have this work. So I keep them disabled until I get the SSL and that I can’t get until I point the live domain which is currently with Shopify. I’m suppose to launch before the the 25th. I feel very stressed about his right now…

    You are a great help!

    Hi Ismael,

I will deactivate all plugins and start with the theme and activate each one by one. I must find a solution as my launch date is now the 26th-27th. I must have things working by tomorrow.

    Thanks

    Hey!

I’m very sorry if we can’t be of much help to you. We are not that familiar with the plugin and the error. Please contact the plugin author for additional help. I’m sure that they can tell you something about that error.

    Regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

After hours of with with a WP Engine agent yesterday, we have found the plugin that was the culprit, where it tries to write to the .htaccess file.

    Thank you
    Lyse

    Hey!

Great! Glad that you found the culprit. I hope that it is working properly now.

    Cheers!
