    Hi there,

    When I try to insert a featured image into a post or portfolio item, the media library does not load any images and when I try to upload an image I get an error message. The same issue occurs for the images in the post slider I am using for my portfolio items.
    I have already deactivated all plugins (currently reactivated the maintenance mode, but I deactivated it earlier to run a test), emptied browser caching, but none of it worked. I switched the theme to the TwentyFourteen theme and in that case the media library does work properly, so it seems something is not working with the Enfold theme.

    Are there any settings I can change to make the media library work properly?

    Please try re-installing a fresh copy of WordPress and make sure the wp-content/uploads folder is writable.

    I updated to WordPress 3.9.1. yesterday, so I don’t think a fresh copy would make any difference, or you recommend trying again anyway? The rights for my uploads folder have been set to 777 by my hosting provider, so that can’t be the problem either…

    The weird thing is that images DO appear in the uploads folder. I can see the test images you uploaded in /www/wp-content/uploads/2014/06, so nothing seems to be wrong with that…

    Yes, for each image I see 5 versions in the upload folder. One I assume is the original and 4 resized ones.

    Did you try re-installing WordPress? i noted some strange space on the dashboard, maybe there is a missing/corrupted file.

    Hi Josue,

    I re-installed WordPress, which still did not have any effect. To be sure I re-uploaded the theme again, and now everything seems to be working.
