I have uploaded a Video-File (m4v) and use the Form (Media Elemente / Video) from Enfold. The Shortcode will not work.

The Frontend only shows the shortcode

When I upload .m4v the movie file will upload in the folder with the creation date of the page (2016/11/test.m4v) but 20 image files are created in the folder with current date today and filed (2017/06/test-m4v-image.jpg,…)

When I use the extension .mp4, the movie will work fine and it will be uploaded to the folder with current date (16/06) and no image files are created.

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, I think the video format you tried out first is not supported: http://easywpguide.com/wordpress-manual/adding-images-other-media/inserting-video-audio-or-other-file-type/. So the other format worked out for you?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

??? when I load the m4v file over the standard editor it works.
Only the extended editor does not support the fileformat m4v, but I need the avid framework.

also see WordPress mime types in wp-includes/functions.php:

    2423: ‘mp4|m4v’ => ‘video/mp4’,

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, I’m not sure I understand what you mean by the extended editor though? What exactly are you not able to do?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Wordpress supports m4v files. Enfold not.

When I use the Standard Editor from WordPress, the m4v file works fine.
When I use the Extended Layout-Editor, the m4v file does not work. :(

    Hi,

Ok, thanks for that. What element are you using? I’m assuming either the Video element or Text Block?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Hi RIkard, i use the Video Element.

    Hi,

You are actually right, there is a bug on that.
We will do check it with our developers and review why the image files are been generated and we will do let you know further.

    Thank you

    Best regards,
    Basilis
