NicoleFebruary 22, 2018 at 8:01 pm #916262Hey Sommervogel,
Defining a higher memory limit in WordPress and if possible increasing the memory on the hosting server should resolve this issue.
To increase the WordPress memory limit please access wp-config.php file and add the below line
define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M');
For a detailed explanation please check this link http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
and you can contact your service provider to increase the memory limit.Best regards,
BasilisFebruary 23, 2018 at 3:53 am #916471Hi Sommervogel,
I was trying to help you on a different thread, The webhost Strato seems to be a special issue. I have helped a few that had their server setting correct. I just logged it to your site, and they seems ok.
To manually install we will also need access to your “PHPmyAdmin” to install the database, and FTP access to upload files. So please include your Strato login and password in the Private Content area. Also the login url.
Then we will install the shop demo.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 23, 2018 at 3:25 pm #916735@Mike, can you please explain how to install via phpmyadmin please? I’m facing the same issue, but yet to find a resolution.
I’ve tried to install the shop demo via the Theme Options > Demo Import but it doesn’t work. Also tried WordPress Importer and navigating to the demo files in the Admin > Includes folder which worked once, but now I want to try a different demo this doesn’t work.
Another moderator also sent me the txt file to upload via Enfold > Import / Export, but that doesn’t work either. Thanks
NathanFebruary 24, 2018 at 5:02 am #916963Hi,
@PixelstoLife, I will be happy to, first lets assume that your webhost has settings that will not allow you to install the demos, to manually install one of the demos you will need the files & the database.
You could get these yourself by installing a localhost for WordPress and Enfold on your computer, then go though the process on installing the demo to your localhost.
Then you will need the actual files, so copy all the files in the /wp-content/uploads folder:
and FTP to the same folder on your webhost.
Then you will need the database, so you the plugin WP Migrate DB to copy your database. See this video on how to copy and import your database into PHPmyAdmin.
And that is it. Of course if someone else has a localhost with the demo you want installed, they could give your the uploads files and database saving you a lot of work. But for it to work correctly they would need to login to your site to get the correct settings, as in the first part of the video.
Sounds like you could use some help, Please open a new thread so we can assist, we will need to communicate in the Private Content area, but as this is not your thread you will not see what we write, nor will your info be private. Thanks for your patience and understanding.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 24, 2018 at 1:08 pm #917064@Mike thanks for getting back to me, I’m more than happy to try a manual install as I’m a web designer and can ftp in and have database access too.
I have a thread on this, if you can provide me with the DB files etc there: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-demo-content-problem/#post-916977Thanks
Nathan
February 24, 2018 at 3:04 pm #917120Hi,
@pixelstolife very good, I will add the files to that thread.@sommervogel I have included the files for the shop demo for your site in the Private Content area.
In the zip you will find a uploads.zip that you will need to extract to your uploads folder, a wp-migrate file that is the database that you will need to overwrite your database with via PHPmyAdmin. Here is a video on how to do it (near the end) You will also find a login.txt for the login after you overwrite the database.
Please note that you will lose all of your content and customization if you use this demo import, this database will only work on your one site.
Let us know if this works for you.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 27, 2018 at 1:41 pm #918444Thank you Mike for your constantly support – even on a saturday!
Unfortunately it´s too technical for me and Strato seems to be a problem in this case.
So I changed the theme to a complete new woocommerce-template and this worked.
Thanks so much.Best regards
NicoleFebruary 27, 2018 at 2:07 pm #918455Hi,
Sorry to hear that, if you should change your mind another user shared a possible solution from the Strato team.
They believe that the PHP Boost option maybe the cause for the errors, and point to this help article to Disable the PHP Boost Look near the bottom of the page for “Enable PHP Boost” and do the opposite.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 27, 2018 at 2:09 pm #918457Thank you Mike. Maybe I will try it some time.
Best regards
