Hi, i want to have a Layout from an old ENFOLD 481 Installation to use it in the new Website ENFOLD 484. I can upload the file but after clicking the include Button there is an error message:
“Couldn’t import the config because the server didn’t respond. Please reload the page, then try again”
So i tried it with a newer seettingfile (from version 484) from this installation. That works fine, but not from the version 481.
What can i do?
Thnx Frank
July 25, 2021 at 1:26 pm #1312215Hey honighut,
Thank you for your patience and for the login, I see in your theme options Change WordPress defaults you do not have any jQuery options:
this is what you should see:
typically this occurs when the server is forcing jQuery to load in the footer or it is being blocked, I believe this is the cause for your error, please check.
I also see that your server is using PHP v8.0.8, please try downgrading to v7.xBest regards,
MikeAugust 10, 2021 at 4:05 pm #1316095Hi Mike, thank u for your Feedback. I have a talk with my provider. There is no blocking oththlth on the server. So i tried to export e new setting file and use this one in the setting uploader. It works fine. I do not understand this, because the old file is not loading. Can u have a look at these pls? U can find both setting files in the media center. Also u can try it in the backend, its a testing-website. Thank u Frank
August 11, 2021 at 11:11 am #1316246Hello, It’s the same everywhere. I’ve also tested it on other servers. I can’t install a settings file from themes prior to 4.8.1 into new themes.
So what can i do?August 11, 2021 at 12:05 pm #1316255Hi,
Thank you for the feedback, I examined your theme setting file by decoding it and compared it to a newly created new install theme setting file and the main difference I found was that the new theme setting file had no line breaks where yours had about 100, yours also had html entities that I didn’t find in the other. I tried removing the line breaks and recoding it, and it passed the install to my test site but no changes were actually made, so while there was no error message it didn’t work. I believe there is an error in the coding of your theme setting file. You can try decoding and examining it but I don’t believe that it can be repaired because the data is serialized so when the values are changed the character length is not updated thus the serialization is broken.
Unfortunately, I believe you will not be able to use this file.Best regards,

@honighut & @BeeCee
the dev team has released this temp fix for theme settings import, please give this a try, via FTP save your current function-set-avia-ajax.php as a fallback and replace it with this one:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/8fsahv7a6y7er1z/AAC7zyDWptD4HGL2r_p_5Y1Za?dl=0
you will find it at:
\wp-content\themes\enfold\framework\php\function-set-avia-ajax.php
you may need to clear any server caching first, then you may also need to use the WP Reset plugin on your new site that you are importing to if you had a previous failure during the process.Best regards,
