The companies last webmaster has not done any updates since 3.4.7 and I want to do the update to 3.7.1
I am a bit nervous as so many versions were skipped, is it safe do to this update? Should I use the theme updater or go through FTP

Hey cannacompanionproducts_USA,
I would clone your current installation to a staging or local site and update there first to make sure you don’t encounter any problems. It should not matter if you update through the backend of via FTP. http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/. Please make sure to do backups before you start doing anything.
