    Greetings! First post here. Love Enfold’s usability.

    I currently have Enfold 4.8.2 installed in WordPress 5.7.3 – seeking to understand the best and most conservative method(s) to update the theme manaully to 4.8.7.1 without breaking things so that I may then upgrade to WordPress 5.8.2. Thank you.

    PS Could you make the text in this forum black? the gray on the blue is super hard to read when typing.

    Hey dd107,

    I would recommend that you copy the site to a staging area, and update there first. If everything works as it should on the staging site, then you can safely update the live site as well.

    Why should Iuse a staging site if the theme is fully tested? what is the best free stagig site siftware?

    Hi dd107,

    We suggest testing it in a staging site first so there’s no risk on your live site when trying out the latest update.
    You can use a plugin called WP Staging, here’s a guide that should help: https://themeisle.com/blog/wordpress-staging-site/
