    To Pre-Sales:
    We had previously purchased your theme “Coherence Responsive Business Portfolio – 2012 05 11 – Version 1.0.3”. We would like to update to your latest version of same theme; so that it has minimum to no impact on our content. Please advise… Do you have a free upgrade? Is there a discount if we have to purchase? Please advise asap…

    If you got the theme from ThemeForest and have the purchase code, you can download the latest version in the ThemeForest.

    Dear John:
    Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, the theme was previously purchased by a hired contractor from themeforest that is no longer with us. Additionally, the themeforest account he used to purchased; the userid/password is no longer valid nor were we able to reset the account. I do have the original downloaded theme itself in .zip file. Is there a way to locate a license number on that downloaded zip file? In summary, we are unable to locate the purchase code. Please advice on what I can do next?

    Hi,

    I am afraid the only way to get full support and theme updates is by having access to a Themeforest account which was used to purchase the theme.

    The easiest way would be to get in touch with your developer and ask him for the purchase code and an API key. That would allow you to create a forum account here (one that got access to more than the pre-sale question area) and would also allow you to update the theme from your backend.

    If you cant get in touch with your developer for whatever reason, you can also try to contact Envato support and ask them if its possible for them to credit the purchase to a Themeforest account of your own: https://help.market.envato.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
    However this will probably only work if your developer already sent you a payment receipt or something similar for the purchase.

    Last option would be to create a themeforest account of your own and use it to re-purchase the theme.

    I hope one of the first two options works out for you, but unfortunately we can’t help until we have a valid verification that the theme was purchased properly. This is necessary for us, since there are quite a few people out there who don’t buy the theme on themeforest and instead download it for free on illegal file sharing sites and then even have the audacity to ask us for support.

    thanks. I will try Envato as suggested. IF I had to re-buy; do you have a discount or coupon to lessen the pain :)
    Let me reconfirm that the original Zip file downloaded from Envato at purchase was suppose to have the Purchase Code inside. But I can’t find it. Do you know if its in the zip and where it might be???

    Hi,

    License is available to download separately in Downloads page on ThemeForest and not included in the downloaded file. However since you do not have access to the account which was used while purchasing the theme, you would not be able to find your purchase code i am afraid.
