Just installed latest WordPress 4.7 and latest Enfold Multi-purpose theme and I can no longer view content on Edit. I only get the loading icon when trying to edit content with a couple javascript errors in console.
/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error)
/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?action=wp-compression-test&test=2&_ajax_nonce=1e80ef8d6e&1481169404258 Failed to load
[AVIA-LOG] Switching to Classic Editor. Template Builder is in safe mode and will empty the textarea so user cant edit shortcode directly
What am I doing wrong?
December 8, 2016 at 10:15 am #721879Hey joeldaigle1252,
Is the frontend of the website loading for you ?
As I understand the issue is only when trying to load the advanced layout builder correct?
To resolve this issue please try the steps mentioned here http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/my-enfold-layout-builder-is-not-loading-properly/
If you still have an issue please feel free to get back to us and post us the admin login credentials in private so we can take a closer look at the issue.
Best regards,
VinayDecember 9, 2016 at 2:03 am #722285Thanks Vinay for the assistance, I have tried all the sets in the trouble shooting page you provided. It is still not working. Any other ideas or assistance would be appreciated!
Yes the frontend is loading fine, it is only on edit of the page the content container cannot load any content possibly do to the JavaScript errors being thrown? It is a plain installation of WordPress with no extra plugins enabled.

Thanks for the login details and sorry for the trouble. I see the same error message as you but I’m not sure what is causing it since a 500 error is very general. You could try overwriting the theme files via FTP to see if that helps: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/. Please make sure to disable all plugins as well to make sure they are not causing a conflict. If that doesn’t help then please try contacting your hosting provider to see if they can tell you what is going wrong on the server.
Best regards,
Rikard -
