    Hello,
I upgraded wordpress to 5.0 and now I cannot create a new page with the Avia builder showing. Any ideas?

You can deactivate the Classic Editor Plugin. But you won’t be able to use the Classic Editor instead of Avia Layout Builder…

    #1042189

    How do you do that?

    #1042200

New hick-up, Enfold does not show in my themes just the child theme and in the upgrade theme section it says we have version 1.0.

    #1042204

That sounds weired… You can deactivate the Classic Editor Plugin in the Plugins section of your admin. For sure only if you have installed it!

    #1042205

    Yeah, that plugin isn’t installed.

    Hi,
Please ensure to update Enfold to v4.5.1
If this doesn’t help, please include a admin login in the private content area so we can take a closer look.

    Best regards,
    Mike

It appens the same to me but only in post editor, while page editing offer me classic and Avia editor.
Could you please check my site too?
I’ve sent user and password in my latest post.
    Thank you,
    Luca

Hi it seems to be solved, I’ve installed the classic editor plugin, activate and deactivate it a couple of times (now active) and the Avia editor is coming back…

    Hi,

    @wdrow81
, did updating to v4.5.1 solve the issue for you?

    @Isotopper
, I don’t see your login details above, but your latest post says it’s solved so I will assume your all set.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Mike,
I can’t seem to upgrade. When I go the the update section it says I have version 1.0, in the update plugins area no update shows, and in themes all I see is my child theme. I went into the content file folder and the enfold folder shows.

    Hi,
Please include a admin login & FTP access in the Private Content area so we can investigate.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Mike,
I will need an email to allow for 2 factor login.

    #1042621

    Hi,
Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
I was not able to login to the site, but I could ftp.
I believe the issue is that the enfold style.css has been replaced with your child theme style.css, I’m surprised that you are not getting warnings that the theme is broken.
You will want to export your theme settings and save, because you may lose your settings when we change the theme back to Enfold, at which time we can update and them import your theme settings.
It should go smoothly, but I recommend making a full backup of your site using your webhost’s backup tool.
Would you like me to do this?
Please include a admin login & url in the Private Content area.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,
Thank you, I updated your theme, and ensured that the theme settings and css was preserved, Please clear your browser cache and check.
It seems that I didn’t need to use the backup copies of your theme settings or css, but I have them on hand should you find a error during your inspection.
I left the damaged theme folder in the directory as a backup, once you are satisfied please let me know and I will delete. Please don’t activate it.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Hi,

    @wdrow81
thanks for the kind feedback, as everything is working well I deleted the damaged theme folder for you.
Unless there is anything else we can assist with on this issue, shall we close this then?

    @abyjrc2016
your error sounds like one from updating the theme via ftp by trying to overwrite the theme folder instead of replacing it. Please note that if you update via FTP, you will need to remove the old theme folder “enfold” first (via FTP) then upload the new “enfold” folder at /wp-content/themes/enfold/
Please don’t try to overwrite the theme folder, as this will leave old files behind and cause errors.
If this doesn’t help, Please open a new thread so we can assist, and include your admin login & ftp access in the Private Content area, but as this is not your thread your login info will not be private if posted here.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    Thanks Mike
I’m using the update button from enfold theme options, theme update…
    Inside WordPress admin

I noticed when I upgraded theme, there was spyware on the page mentioned in the private content area below.

It’s messed up still for about 4 days. Tried leaving comments and that not work so I bough the theme again and instead another one but that didn’t work and now eight days later, I would like to go back to work but they wont let me enter the office until enfold is fixed. I want to feed the kids, sometimes I wish I would have chosen a different path. We have no furniture at home and our beds are at the office. Please help.
