Good evening Enfold friends,
After editing content in the advanced layout builder, there is no update to the front end after the page has been saved and updated.
We found a work around by saving the page content as a template in enfold’s advanced layout builder, deleting all the content, saving, loading the template, editing, and then saving and publishing, but that is no longer working – and ultimately is a very hacky way of handling what should be one click update.
It could very well be plugin conflicts, but we cannot determine if that is the case or if the actual theme framework has some bug in it that is no longer allowing pages to be updated.
This issue is basically leaving our client at a place where they cannot make any updates to their site. Please advise.
March 25, 2019 at 12:31 am #1082419Hey 5ivecanons,
Sorry for the late reply, I have not seen any other post like this, and my localhost is saving correctly so my first thought is a plugin conflict. It sounds like you have not checked this yet by disabling all of the plugins and trying again?
We would like to login, have you created a backup yet, and can we try disabling all of the plugins?
Some webhosts offer a one-click staging site, which may be a good idea so we can test without your site being affected, is this an option?Best regards,

March 26, 2019 at 3:47 am #1082948Hi,
Thank you for providing a user email, but when I test it I get an error that user is not found, I also don’t have a password.
Please check.
Is your testing environment the same theme and PHP versions?Best regards,

March 26, 2019 at 6:56 pm #1083196I am having this same issue, did you find a fix?
March 27, 2019 at 6:07 am #1083405Hi,
@5ivecanons thank you for the login, I see that you are using Enfold v4.5.3 which had some issues, please update to v4.5.5
I tried creating a test page and saw no errors in the console which is good news. But if updating doesn’t help I would suggest disabling your plugins and re-testing, with all of the changes in WordPress and Enfold there is a possibility that it can cause an issue with a small plugin somehow, isolating it would be our first step.
@eternal626 please also ensure you are using Enfold v4.5.5 & WordPress v5.1.1 and if that doesn’t help please try disabling your plugins also.
Since we now have two similar issues please open a new thread so you can post your admin login info and then post a link to the new thread here so I can find it. Since this is not your thread your login will not be private here.Best regards,
MikeMarch 27, 2019 at 2:11 pm #1083608Receiving errors in trying to update after creating new token, that was verified. Details of error are in private content.
March 28, 2019 at 3:53 am #1083896Hi,
@5ivecanons the 403 error you are getting is because Envato has a daily limit on requests, even if you are updating multiple sites. Also their cookie may trigger an error if you are updating multiple sites. Please wait 24 hours and then when you try again try using the incognito mode of your browser.Best regards,
MikeApril 2, 2019 at 10:04 pm #1086262The update process is starting. This process may take a while on some hosts, so please be patient.

Any other suggestions?
April 3, 2019 at 5:18 am #1086346Hi,
I assumed that you tried the steps above, in this case try checking your server error log to see what is happening.
If you are still getting:
Download Package URL: Errorcode 403 returned by Envato: Forbidden:
– response_code: 403
– reason: scope-missing
then it sounds like you don’t have the correct permissions for your token set.Best regards,
MikeApril 3, 2019 at 1:39 pm #1086521I’m not seeing forbidden. I’m seeing Update package not available. We’re going to go in and try to manually update it rather than rely on the updater. Maybe that will work.
I’ll let you know what we find. But still having issues with updating any page content as well.
