We need to update our theme but it says that Enfold can’t be auto updated. What should I do purchase another copy and try to install? Will that mess up the web site. How should we update our theme? We have a problem with our WordPress quit publishing blog posts correctly.
August 4, 2021 at 1:53 pm #1314382Hi Laura,
Thanks for contacting us!
I logged in to your site and can see update notification for Enfold so you should be able to update the theme from WordPress dashboard. Could you please elaborate on the issue you are having?
Regards,
YigitAugust 4, 2021 at 4:44 pm #1314430Laura KerbysonGuestI just updated the theme but it’s broken. The blog no longer posts the posts you are making. If you are using a template, and you replace the content, it is publishing the template content. If I used a blank one and add the content, it publishes a blank and then when I go back to the post, I see it’s not saving posts.
I have upgraded our W3 Total Cache. That did not solve it. All Caches were dumped. Cloudflare was dumped.
I’m not sure what could cause this problem. It started about four days ago.
August 4, 2021 at 5:37 pm #1314442Hi,
I checked your blog page however I can see 3 blog posts posted today with the title “How can I get help with transportation?”. Have you figured it out already? If you have not, could you please let us know the steps we need to take to reproduce the issue so we can make sure that we are on the same page?
Best regards,
YigitAugust 4, 2021 at 5:39 pm #1314444Laura KerbysonGuestNo, the three posts that you see are posting incorrect content. When you click on them, it’s not the post that was put in. The descriptions are posting fine but the actual page content is not.
August 4, 2021 at 5:55 pm #1314448Hi,
It seems like a plugin conflict. Could you please firstly update your plugins (62 of them have updates)?
Best regards,
YigitAugust 4, 2021 at 8:35 pm #1314474Laura KerbysonGuestI’ve updated all the plugins with the exception of the Affiliate Manager because it shows no active license. I double the problem is caused by the Affiliate Manager plugins. All other plugins have been updated and the problem still exists.
I am having full server backups made today. The only other thing I can try is to upgrade the WordPress itself from 5.3.8 to 5.8. However, I still suspect there is some kind of problem with the Enfold Templating system. I’ve tested and retested it many times now.
August 4, 2021 at 11:43 pm #1314492Laura KerbysonGuestI found the answer. Some of the templates I made previously are now corrupted. When I make a new template, it saves.
