    Hi, will updating the theme cause all changes I have made to revert back to default? If yes, how do I avoid that?

    There is a lot of mixed info out there, should I back up the whole website, databases or only CSS? How do I preserve CSS only, as those the only changes I think I have done. For custom CSS changes it looks like I need Premium or Business package from wordpress, is that correct?

    If you have not made any changes on theme files and if you have not change theme name, you can go ahead and update the theme – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
    If you have made changes on theme files, please create a child theme and move your modified files there – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/
