I have Enfold Child 1.0 installed with Parent version 4.2.2. WP version 4.9.5, hosted at WPengine.

I downloaded the 4.3.1 zip file from Envato and FTP’d the root files and folders on top of (overwriting) the existing folders. After the upload completed, the front end results in a 500 server error. I re-uploaded all the files to be sure nothing went awry and experience the same issue. No front end or admin access.

Am I doing this the wrong way? Does the child theme need to be updated at the same time?
    Any help appreciated. Thanks.

    Hey omshiva,

Sorry for the problems. Could you try to completely delete the entire theme folder (not the child) from the server and then re-upload the new version to see if that works better please?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Hi guys, I am having this same problem, I tried to fix it by uploading the previous Enfold version, but this did not work. My deadline is tomorrow, so I’m kinda in a state of panic right now :) The problem is Enfold according to my webhost in the config template, avia shortcodes, events upcoming- eventsupcoming.php. The error is on line 13. Something is not being declared?

    Help please?

    Sincerely,
    Morticka

Hi everyone who is not omshiva,

Sorry for the problems, please try the suggestion I gave above in this thread. If that doesn’t help then please create your own threads and include details to your sites so that we can help you out individually.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
