Hi, I received some support previously (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/api-key-7/#post-897547) but I can’t add posts to that thread.
I have since obtained by key and have entered it into the Theme Options. The theme says that I am up to date and at version 3.7.1.
I don’t think that this is the most recent version, and I still have my original issue – that I can not edit pages (I get a spinning circle in the layout builder).
Any help would be appreciated – I really need to make some changes to my site.
February 14, 2018 at 9:15 pm #912485Hey jopedder,
Can you please ask your hosting provider to increase php memory limit to 512M and then try again to see if the issue is still there?
Best regards,
BasilisFebruary 16, 2018 at 8:33 pm #913384I have migrated to a better host. I still can’t update to the latest Enfold. Is there another way of doing the update?
February 16, 2018 at 8:45 pm #913385Hi,
Please try this plugin to clear WordPress transients if you do not receive auto updates and make sure your API key is correct: https://wordpress.org/plugins/artiss-transient-cleaner/.
If it does not help, I am afraid you might need to update the theme manually – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Unfortunately not all Server environments are able to make use of the auto update feature provided by ThemeForest.
Best regards,
YigitFebruary 16, 2018 at 8:52 pm #913387thanks, I’ve just done the transient thing and that didn’t fix it.
I am unable to do a manual update as a designer bought the key originally. I have the key and his login name, but not the password to download the theme. His details are in the private data of the above post.
February 16, 2018 at 9:23 pm #913389I’ve also tried disabling all plug ins
February 17, 2018 at 8:14 am #913560Hi jopedder,
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look? Which version of php are you running?
Best regards,
VictoriaFebruary 18, 2018 at 1:55 pm #913910thanks – details below:
let me know if you need a different email address.
February 18, 2018 at 2:06 pm #913912oh and PHP is 7.0
February 18, 2018 at 2:29 pm #913916Hi,
I was able to login, and see you have Enfold v3.7.1
This is very old, and I’m unsure what may change with a manual update, it doesn’t look like you have any custom functions, so hopefully all will be fine.
We will need ftp access to update, please add to the Private Content area.
Also make a full backup, many webhosts offer this, just in case.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 18, 2018 at 3:03 pm #913924thanks Mike we backed up just yesterday, so fine to go ahead. Thank you for doing this.
FTP access is below:
February 18, 2018 at 3:04 pm #913926also good to do today as I can work on fixes if it falls apart before Monday. Presumably the auto updates will start working again after this?
February 18, 2018 at 3:42 pm #913934Hi,
I got user: OK, password: failed
I tried with port 21
Please advise.Best regards,
MikeFebruary 18, 2018 at 4:18 pm #913949I’ve updated the password again (same details as before) port 21 is correct.
I’ve tested this time and seems ok.
Please try again, thanks

February 18, 2018 at 4:53 pm #913961Hi,
That is strange, it is not working for me. Please see screenshot in Private Content area.
Perhaps the host is blocking US ip addresses?
How about cPanel login, I could use the file manager, or how about I just send you the file and you update via ftp?Best regards,
MikeFebruary 18, 2018 at 5:13 pm #913966very odd – I had only tested a web link from within my control panel and that worked to ‘see’ the contents. recreating here on filezilla I got the same result.
I have created a user access for you which does work in filezilla (in private)
thanks for your persistence.

February 18, 2018 at 6:06 pm #913973Hi,
Ok, that worked.
I updated your theme, and it looks good, but you should check thoroughly.
I also copied your old theme files, old dynamic enfold.css, and old theme setting export and put them in a zip file in the Private Content area. I’m sure you won’t need them, but just in case :)Best regards,
MikeFebruary 18, 2018 at 6:46 pm #913980Mike that is great – I’ve taken a copy of the downloaded files. Everything looks like it is working, and I have the ability to edit again! that is brilliant.
Many thanks, Jo
